We have created a range of lock solutions suitable for implanted central-venous catheters (CVC) and port systems. These products contain several ingredients to prevent catheter occlusion and catheter-related infections. Today, TauroLock™ solutions are recommended in interdisciplinary guidelines on a national and international scale. These include the ESPEN (European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism), GAVeCeLT (Italian association for long-term central-venous access devices), SFNCM (French Society of Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism), and DGfN (German Society of Nephrology). As a manufacturer, TauroPharm focuses on four areas: product development, production, training, and quality management. TauroLock™ solutions prevent catheter-related complications with triple efficacy: antimicrobial, antibiofilm, antiocclusive.

And they are also easy to handle. Here’s how it works:

1. Withdraw the required volume from the ampoule into a syringe.
2. Slowly instill a volume sufficient to fill all lumens of the device entirely.

That’s all it takes to keep the catheter safe. Lock your line, every time.

Intensive care is one of the medical fields where our products can mean the difference between life and death. Critically ill patients depend on a highly complex interplay of technological and human interventions to survive. Even the slightest error – such as not locking the catheter properly – can have fatal consequences.
