A new WAPP Press book for work with children and adolescents is now available! 📚

We are happy to announce the English edition of On the Difficulties of Pleasing Everyone: Narrative Approaches in Therapeutic Work with Children and Adolescents by C. Leistner and J. Hristov.

This richly illustrated book explores how therapeutic stories can help children and adolescents express difficult experiences, understand emotions and relationships, and discover new perspectives and possibilities for change.

📢 Important information for WAPP members: Board Elections 2027–2028

The election of the new WAPP Executive Board starts on Monday, 14 September, and voting will be open until 30 September 2026.

📩 Today, all WAPP members received an email from the Head Office with detailed information and instructions about the election. Please take a moment to read it and check your spam folder if you don’t see it in your inbox.

Please note that the invitation to vote will only be sent to members who are eligible to vote: Full and Associate Members who have paid their membership fee for 2026, or at least for 2025. Supportive Members do not have voting rights.

🗳️ From Monday, eligible members should look out for a separate email from Election Runner, our official online voting platform. It will contain your personal invitation to vote, including your election link and voter ID.

In the meantime, you can already review the candidates and read about the election procedure on the WAPP website. All relevant links are included in today’s email.

We have become used to meeting online, working within familiar professional circles and following our usual routines.

August may be the last full month of summer, but at WAPP, things are definitely not slowing down.

👋 We welcomed 64 new members this month! We’re very happy to see our international community continuing to grow — welcome to WAPP!

The 8th World Congress of Positive and Transcultural Psychotherapy has received official professional accreditation 🌍

The Congress is certified by the State Medical Chamber of Hesse, Germany (LÄKH) and has been awarded 24 CME credit points for Continuing Medical Education.

It is also accredited within the WAPP Continuing Professional Development (CPD) system, with participants able to receive 30 WAPP CPD credits for participation in the scientific programme.

We are happy that the Congress can support not only international exchange, new knowledge and professional connections, but also the formal continuing education requirements of our participants.
