Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, commonly known as ADHD, affects millions of children worldwide and can influence attention, behavior, emotional regulation, and academic performance. Researchers continue to explore different approaches that may help support children with ADHD alongside professional medical care and guidance.

One study found that children with ADHD who received magnesium and vitamin B6 supplementation for at least six months showed improvements in several areas. Researchers reported reductions in hyperactivity, emotional reactivity, and aggressive behavior, while school attention and focus appeared to improve. These findings have generated interest in the possible role of nutrition in supporting brain function and behavioral health.

Magnesium is involved in hundreds of biological processes throughout the body, including nerve function and brain activity. Vitamin B6 helps the body produce important neurotransmitters that influence mood, attention, and communication between brain cells. Scientists believe that adequate levels of these nutrients may contribute to healthier neurological function in some children.

It is important to note that ADHD is a complex condition, and nutritional supplements are not considered a universal solution. What works for one child may not work for another. Parents should always consult qualified healthcare professionals before making changes to a child's diet or supplement routine. Even so, studies like this highlight the growing understanding that nutrition and brain health are closely connected. Ongoing research continues to explore how specific nutrients may help support attention, learning, and emotional well-being in children with ADHD.

Most of us were trained to treat infidelity as a crisis to survive. Stabilize the betrayed partner. Rebuild trust. Follow the protocol.

But what if the protocol itself is part of the problem?

New research finds no evidence that cannabinoids help with anxiety or depression.

In fact, it makes mental health conditions worse.

A massive systematic review led by the University of Sydney’s Matilda Centre has sent shockwaves through the medical community by challenging the efficacy of cannabis for mental health.

Analyzing 54 randomized controlled trials spanning four decades, researchers found that cannabinoids failed to outperform placebos in treating anxiety, depression, and PTSD—the primary reasons many patients seek prescriptions. While sales of medicinal cannabis have tripled in recent years, this landmark study suggests that the public image of the drug as a mental health "cure-all" is largely unsupported by rigorous clinical data, highlighting a significant gap between patient perception and scientific reality.

Despite the findings regarding psychiatric conditions, the study reaffirmed the drug's value for specific physical ailments. High-quality evidence remains strong for reducing seizures in epilepsy, managing muscle spasticity in multiple sclerosis, and alleviating chronic pain or chemotherapy-induced nausea. However, for conditions like ADHD and bipolar disorder, the researchers noted a severe lack of data, rendering current prescribing habits more anecdotal than scientific. This comprehensive review serves as a critical reality check for regulators and healthcare providers, emphasizing that clinical proof must catch up to the rapidly growing global demand for medicinal cannabis products.

Just one year of music lessons can trigger measurable brain growth and structural changes that enhance language, reading, and memory.

Forget traditional drills; the most effective way to boost a child's cognitive development might be found in the rehearsal room. Research suggests that music training acts as a comprehensive full-brain workout, activating both hemispheres simultaneously to strengthen neural connections. Unlike singular academic tasks, playing an instrument accelerates auditory maturation and pattern recognition, providing a unique foundation for language development and reading skills that homework alone cannot replicate.

The benefits of music education extend far beyond the stage, fostering essential life skills like emotional regulation, discipline, and focus. Even short-term exposure can lead to measurable improvements in processing speed and IQ, helping children navigate complex environments with greater confidence. By physically shaping the brain's structure, music training provides a lifelong cognitive advantage that transforms how young minds learn, think, and interact with the world.
