Everyone is excited for the new year they call 2017 and everyone is having a party!

We love parties but we are not a fan of the big bangs that breaks the sky at midnight or any types of stressing environments - so we kindly asked our big idol Anders Rhedin to create a meditative track to create a zen space.

We asked Anders to work with us on a Music for Dogs track because we are his nr. 1 fan and he incorporates elements of meditation, hypnosis and clairvoyance into his recording and performances.

Enjoying the beautiful nature while charging my energy with a good morning Sungazing. The best way to start your day boosted with energy. The sun holds incredible power for those who wish too obtain it. Light is a basic nutrition of all life. Start with only 10 seconds as the sun rises over the horizon. Relax your eyes on the sun and let go of all thought like in meditation. With every in breath I hold the vision in my mind of breathing in the light from the sun, filling up my entire body with a golden light/energy. You can increase the time you sun gaze every second day by 5 seconds until you reach 44 minutes. It's very important not to progress too fast, listen to your body. Be patient, positive and open minded. ENJOY!

Sauerkraut with smoked salt and black pepper.

We love a fermented option for the Christmas dinner table, packed with health benefits.
Gather friends or family and start exploring the exciting world of fermentation.

Ingridients:
1 medium size red cabbage
1 medium size pointed cabbage (Chinese cabbage or any other kind of lighter cabbage will work fine too).
2,5 tbsp of Himalayan or sea salt.
1-2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1 tsp smoked salt.

How to:
Cut cabbage in thin slices and place in a bowl (no plastic). Add spices and then squeeze the cabbages for minimum 10 min so that the cabbage releases its juice.
Pack the cabbage in a 1l. glass jar as tightly as you can eliminating air bubbles. Use your hands to press the cabbage down so that there is around 10cm of liquid on top of the cabbage (there should be a min of 2 cm of air to the top of the jar as the). To make sure the cabbage is staying down i have used a piece of Rose Quartz as weights. As water has memory and aligns itself with the vibrations of stones and crystal the sauer kraut will be infused with loving vibrations throughout the fermentation period.
Screw the lid on fairly loose and place the jar in a dark and not too cold place to store for about 2-3 weeks depending on how fermented you prefer your cabbage. You might have to check the jar from time to time and open the lid to let some air in.

Health benefits:

-Produces a diverse population of live bacteria. These probiotics replenish the good bacteria in your gut and help inhibit the growth of bad bacteria.

-Boost your immune system. The probiotic in SauerKraut help in fighting infection and are valuable in curing cold and flu symptoms

-In addition to boosting immunity, the probiotics in sauerkraut help ease digestion, rebalancing the gut and improving overall health.

-Cabbage contains natural isothiocyanate compounds (such as sulforaphane), which have cancer-fighting properties.

Energy Balls.
One of our favourite healthy and extremely easy treats to make.

Ingredients:

300g of nuts. I prefer to make it with mostly cashew and then almonds and walnuts, however any nut combination goes.
5 juicy dried Medjool dates
5 dried figs.
3 heaping tbsp of shredded coconut.

And then there is endless combinations of flavours to explore. Here is just a few of our favorite ones.

Spicy Ginger:
A big chunk of fresh ginger (cut in smaller pieces before blending)
1-2 tsp salt (depends on how salty you like it)
1 tsp cayenne pepper
Half tsp black pepper

Cardamom spice:
1 tsp freshly ground cardamom.
1-2 tsp salt (depends on how salty you like it)
1 tsp cayenne pepper
Juice from one Lemon. + grade the rind and add before juicing it.

Pumpkin spice:
1 tsp freshly ground cinnamon.
1-2 tsp salt (depends on how salty you like it)
1 tsp cayenne pepper
Half 1 tsp freshly ground cloves.
Half tsp black pepper.

Preparation:
Cut dates, figs in smaller pieces. Add everything to the food processor. Blend until it becomes a smooth consistency. Roll into small ball and coat them in shredded coconut.

Enjoy and RELAX.

Oil Pulling

An ancient and great natural way to improve oral health, immune system and whitening teeth. It also removes certain bacteria from the mouth, including the Streptococcus mutans bacteria, known for causing dental caries.
The practice of oil pulling, also known as Gundusha, was first discovered in India thousands of years ago.

You simply take 1-2 teaspoons of coconut in your mouth and swishes it in your mouth for about 20-30 min. It is very important to keep track of the timing as 20-30 min is exactly long enough to break through plaque and bacteria, however without starting to re-absorb the toxins again and bacteria again.
It might seems like a long time, however it is something one will easily get used too. I like to do my oil pulling biking, on my way to yoga in the morning as most of my rides are around 20 min and conversation free.
When spitting the oil out at home and not in nature, please remember not to spit into the sink, as it will clog up your pipes.
