Oil Pulling
An ancient and great natural way to improve oral health, immune system and whitening teeth. It also removes certain bacteria from the mouth, including the Streptococcus mutans bacteria, known for causing dental caries.
The practice of oil pulling, also known as Gundusha, was first discovered in India thousands of years ago.
You simply take 1-2 teaspoons of coconut in your mouth and swishes it in your mouth for about 20-30 min. It is very important to keep track of the timing as 20-30 min is exactly long enough to break through plaque and bacteria, however without starting to re-absorb the toxins again and bacteria again.
It might seems like a long time, however it is something one will easily get used too. I like to do my oil pulling biking, on my way to yoga in the morning as most of my rides are around 20 min and conversation free.
When spitting the oil out at home and not in nature, please remember not to spit into the sink, as it will clog up your pipes.
