Sofia Zarry • Anthropotherapist Guiding the healing journey home, to live in coherence with who we've always been ✨

When I tell my clients that the healing journey is ultimately about healing your relationship with yourself, most people resonate with it.

It makes sense. It sounds true.

But I don’t think most of us realize what that actually means until we begin experiencing what it feels like to relate to ourselves differently.

Because this is what it’s all about.

You are the one person you spend every single second with, from the moment you are born until the moment you die.

And that means every interpretation, every story, every meaning, every judgment, every criticism you have toward yourself impacts the way you experience your entire life.

It impacts how you show up. What you allow yourself to do. What you believe is possible for you.

This is why changing the relationship we have with ourselves changes everything.

Learning to give ourselves space to be who we are. Space to mess up. Space to understand ourselves instead of immediately judging ourselves.

Learning to support ourselves, accept ourselves, cheer for ourselves and the life we are creating.

And yet, strangely enough, this is the one relationship most of us take for granted.

Because the way we relate to ourselves feels so natural, so familiar, so deeply embedded in how we experience life…

That we often can’t even imagine relating to ourselves differently.

Until we do.

How often do you judge yourself?

And do you even notice it happening?

That voice that is constantly scrutinizing, examining, evaluating everything you are and everything you do.

The one that looks in the mirror and tells you what’s not good enough. The one that judges what you do, how you show up, and even the thoughts you have.

This constant list of everything that should be different.

And because it becomes so automatic, many of us don’t even realize how much shame we are creating inside ourselves every single day.

But we cannot shame ourselves into changing.

If we want to grow, if we want to do things differently, if we want to become more aligned with who we are, shame is not the way there.

Shame creates resistance. It creates tension. It makes us brace ourselves against ourselves.

No amount of self-judgment or self-hatred can create the kind of change we’re actually looking for.

Real change begins when we can meet ourselves differently. When we can start bringing awareness to that voice of judgment, noticing when it appears, noticing how much power we’ve given it.

Because the more we become aware of that voice, the more space we create to choose a different one.
A softer one that can actually help us move in the direction we want to go 💖

I know this could potentially change your life.
And yes, I know that’s a bold claim, but hear me out.

At any given moment, there are multiple voices speaking inside your mind.

Some come from old experiences, from things you’ve learned, from past trauma, from all the different parts of you that were created along the way.

And they don’t all want the same thing.

There is the part that wants you to stop smoking, and the one that wants another cigarette. The one that wants to exercise more, and the one that wants to do nothing all day. The one that tells you that you’re not good enough, and the one that knows you are capable of so much more.

And we get lost in all of them.

We fuse with one voice and start believing that this one is “me”.

Then we spend so much time trying to fix these voices, heal them, silence them, or change what they are saying.

But one of the most powerful things you can realize is this:

Your power is not necessarily in choosing what thoughts appear.

Your power is in choosing which thoughts you believe.

Because when you can see all these voices as different parts speaking, you can also recognize that you have a choice. Just like standing in a room full of people talking, you can choose which voice you are going to listen to.

And the voice you choose to follow is the one that shapes your relationship with yourself and with your life.

It may not always be easy.
But it can be that simple ❤️

Today I'm intriducing something that has been quietly growing inside me for a very long time.

It's called The Odyssey.

Not a course. Not a traditional membership. Not a place where someone tells you who to become.

It's a living therapeutic space for people who want to become more deeply themselves, while walking that journey alongside others who are doing the same.

I'm not launching something finished.

I'm about to open the door to something alive, something we will build together from the very beginning.

If something in you recognises this place, I'd love for you to take a look.

You can read more and join the Founding Circle at:

Because becoming yourself doesn't have to be a lonely journey. ❤️

You know that feeling when you really want to do something, something important to you, and yet somehow, you just cannot move?

Whether you call it procrastination, executive dysfunction, action paralysis, or feeling stuck in the glue, it’s that strange experience of wanting to move from point A to point B and feeling completely unable to make yourself do it.

For me, it used to feel like having lead in my feet. I could physically get up, and yet it felt impossible.

Earlier today, a friend asked me what the “magic key” is in those moments. How do we finally move forward?

And what I told him is this: yes, it’s important to work on yourself, understand your patterns, your fears, your trauma, your limiting beliefs, and all the things that may be standing in the way.

But more important than all of that is understanding that there is no magic key.

There is no magical future version of you who will suddenly become capable of doing everything effortlessly. There is no perfect wave of motivation that will arrive and save you.

What actually changes things is learning to come back to this moment. Not five minutes ago, not tomorrow, not the entire overwhelming future. Just now.

Because now is the only place where you have any power.

And from there, the question becomes very small: what is the tiniest movement I can make right now?

That’s it.

And then the next tiny movement. And the next one after that.

Over time, what you’re really building is not productivity. You’re building the habit of turning toward movement instead of away from it.

And maybe that is the closest thing to a magic key.

I used to feel like I was drowning in my own emotions.

They would take me up and down, right and left, through such intense waves that I felt completely at their mercy. I couldn’t understand how other people seemed able to function, stay stable, continue living their lives, while I felt constantly overwhelmed by what was happening inside of me.

And for a long time, I genuinely believed that other people had some kind of resilience that I simply didn’t have.

So if this resonates with you, here are three things that changed everything for me.

1. First, I stopped fighting the discomfort of my emotions. I started making peace with the physical sensations instead of panicking the moment they appeared or trying to get rid of them as fast as possible. That alone created a little bit of space between me and the emotion. And in that space, I could begin observing instead of drowning.

2. Second, I started practicing discernment. I realized that not every emotion meant the same thing. Not every knot in my stomach carried the same message. Some reactions were trauma responses, some were habitual thought patterns, and some were actually my truth trying to communicate something to me.

3. And third, I started practicing self-trust. I began trusting my ability to understand what my emotions were telling me and trusting myself enough to act accordingly.

And the more I listened, the less my emotions needed to scream to get my attention.

That changed everything 💖

Most of us grow up believing we have to choose between two things:

- either we belong with others, stay connected to friends, family, work, society, and in order to do that we need to adapt, compromise, fit in, and shape ourselves around the world around us.

- or we choose ourselves, and then we become selfish, isolated, disconnected from everyone else, some strange version of ourselves living alone somewhere far away from the world.

What if this was never actually true?

What if the reason so many of us struggle to choose ourselves is because we were taught to see the world in black and white? Either I belong with others, or I am true to myself.

But what if there is another way?

A place where connection does not require self-abandonment. A place where being true to yourself does not mean disconnecting from the world around you.

This is a huge part of what I’m currently exploring and writing about in my free book.

If this resonates, check the link in my bio!

Are you ready to be you?

If your answer is yes, then the next question is, are you actually being you?
And if not, what is standing in the way?

Most of us think of ourselves as a fixed identity, a personality, a collection of traits that define who we are.

But so much of what we call “me” is actually made up of adaptations. Versions of ourselves that we learned to become in order to belong, feel safe, receive approval, avoid rejection, or fit into the world around us.

Influenced by culture, family, society, survival, and all the identities we’ve been trying to protect.

What if becoming yourself was not about finding one final version of you... but about entering a space where you can finally be fully present with yourself?

A place where you become the source of your own safety, validation, and trust. A place where you stop abandoning yourself and start truly living from your own alignment.

To me, being you is about entering the position from which you become yourself, moment after moment.
