Most people think a diagnosis is about finding a label. But for many, it’s actually about finding a language. A language for experiences that never quite made sense. A language for struggles that were misunderstood. A language for parts of themselves they have carried alone for years. Whether it’s ADHD, autism, or another diagnosis, the process is often much bigger than the assessment itself.
It can bring relief, grief, validation, confusion, anger and self-compassion. Sometimes all at once. Because a diagnosis doesn’t just answer the question, “What’s wrong with me?” It often invites a deeper question: “Who have I been all this time?”
Hue Therapy exists for people navigating this process of self-discovery. For those trying to make sense of their history through a new lens. For those revisiting childhood experiences, relationships, successes, struggles, and the stories they have told themselves about who they are. This work is not about reducing yourself to a diagnosis. It’s about allowing yourself to become known. To listen to what emerges. To stay curious about what this understanding means for you.
To give yourself permission to explore your identity without rushing to conclusions. And perhaps most importantly, to have others witness that process with care.
Because sometimes healing isn’t found in receiving a diagnosis. It’s found in finally understanding yourself through it. – (Hue) Therapy
