I sidste uge var jeg i Togo (Vestafrika) for at deltage i International Blue Cross' (IBC) generalforsamling. Her blev jeg valgt til Network Commitee, som er organisationens bestyrelse. Jeg ser frem til de næste 4 år sammen med mine 8 kollegaer og generalsekretær Anne Babb at lede det forebyggende og intervention mod alkohols og stoffers skadesvirkninger. Presset rundt i verden for at lovliggøre drugs er massivt, mens skadesvirkningerne ignoreres. De menneskelige omkostninger ved alkohol- og stofafhængighed er ubarmhjertige. IBC har mange gode projekter især i syd, hvor selvhjælpsgrupper og undervisning af børn og unge er med til at hjælpe ud af og værne mod afhængighed.

The General Assembly affirmed our strategic vision for the years ahead and elected new Network Committee.
