Most people who come to an MER training carry something with them - a question they haven't been able to answer, a feeling they haven't been able to reach, or simply a pull they can't quite explain.

Showing up anyway takes courage.

What happens in the room is shaped by the people who enter it. The work goes as deep as the willingness in the space - and again and again, we're moved by what people bring and by what they find.
We're grateful to everyone who has been part of this. Thank you for sharing this so openly.

Our upcoming 2-day workshop is happening soon. Make sure you book in time.

Most of us have learned to pay attention to what we think.

Far fewer of us have learned to pay attention to what we feel in our bodies.

A racing mind is easy to notice.

A held breath, a clenched jaw, a tight chest, a constant sense of urgency - those can become so familiar that they simply feel like "me."

One of the things people often discover through bodywork is that many reactions they've been fighting for years begin to make sense in a completely different way.

Not because they found a new technique.

Because they started listening to a different source of information.

The body has been part of the conversation all along.

Most of us spend years trying to fix symptoms.
We try to become less anxious, more confident, more relaxed, more productive, more present.

Yet sometimes the more interesting question is not "How do I get rid of this?" but "Why did this develop in the first place?"

Many of the patterns we struggle with today once had a purpose. They helped us adapt, protect ourselves, navigate uncertainty, or cope with situations that felt overwhelming.

When we begin to understand our reactions through that lens, something shifts. Curiosity often replaces judgment. Compassion begins to replace self-criticism.

This is one of the perspectives we explore during the MER Intro Weekend through body awareness, breath, fascia work and nervous system education.

Years of protection leave a mark in the body. Shutdown, disconnection and even a kind of numbness that becomes normal.

This week in Belgium, people got to feel what's possible on the other side of that.

Deep bodywork gets into places that talking doesn't reach. The tissue holds the history and when it starts to release, something shifts. Not just physically.

People become more present to themselves, more open to others. Something that was closed starts to move again.
That aliveness comes back.

It works directly with the body - fascia, breath, joints, the nervous system.
And what tends to happen is that people walk away with more than new skills. Something shifts. In how they relate to their own body, and to the people they work with. It's that kind of training.

Ketu and Ulla are teaching across the UK and Belgium this year. If you've been curious, this is a good time to start.

You've done the therapy. You understand your patterns. And still, nothing really shifts.

That's not a failure of insight. It's just that the body hasn't caught up yet.

Old patterns aren't just mental. They live in the nervous system, in the tissues, in the way you hold yourself when something feels unsafe. Talk alone can't reach all of that.

Deep bodywork can. Through slow, attuned touch, the body gets the signal that it's safe enough to let go, and that's when real integration becomes possible. New choices, new behavior. Not just understood, but actually lived.

Something historic happened in Poland this week.
We ran the first-ever MER Facilitator Training in Kikow and it was one of those weeks that reminds you why this work matters.

24 participants, 7 assistants and six days of real, deep bodywork. Saty said it's the best he's seen in any training, in all his years of teaching and that means a lot coming from him.

These graduates aren't just MER practitioners now. They're learning to lead weekends, to hold groups, to carry this work forward in their own communities.

We'll be with them every step of the way. This is how a modality grows.

Thank you for sharing your experience with such openness.

Hearing how deeply this work can touch people - physically, emotionally and personally - is something we never take for granted.

MER brings together bodywork, breath, movement, presence, and human connection in a way that creates real experiences people can feel in their bodies, not just understand with the mind.

Every training is shaped by the people who enter the room, the courage they bring, and the willingness to explore something deeper together.

Weโ€™re grateful to everyone who continues to be part of this growing community.

Our upcoming trainings are open for booking and weโ€™d love to welcome you.

Many people live in a constant stress response for so long that it starts to feel normal. The body adapts to pressure by tightening, reducing movement, changing breathing patterns, and using energy simply to keep functioning through the day.

This is why healing is rarely about forcing the body to โ€œlet go.โ€ In reality, the nervous system changes when it experiences enough safety, support, and regulation.

Deep bodywork works through that principle. Slow, attuned touch can help the system shift out of protection and create the conditions where recovery becomes possible again. Breathing changes, digestion can improve, muscles stop working overtime, and the body has more energy available for repair instead of survival.

The body already knows how to heal. Often, what is missing is the environment that allows that process to happen.
