Congratulations to the winners, who won our quiz at the yearly Danish Pharmaconomist Association’s (Farmakonomforeningen) 2024 Student Event and Fair in Middelfart last month and won a Gift card for tickets to the Cinema, Sweets and a free SwimCount™ S***m Quality Test.
We enjoyed the great interest and engagement shown by all the students at the Fair regarding our SwimCount™ products as well as our mission to assist in the pregnancy process.

Last Saturday on March 9 2024, MotilityCount ApS once again exhibited at the yearly Danish Pharmaconomist Association's (Farmakonomforeningen) Student Event and Fair in Middelfart, Funen. It is the fifth time we exhibit and as always, we enjoyed presenting our products to the students.

Did you know that s***m is produced at approximately 34 degrees?

To produce s***m, the temperature must be approximately 34 degrees, which is 3 degrees lower than the normal body temperature.

The s***m production takes place in the testicles, and because the s***m only is produced at a temperature 2-4 degrees lower than the normal body temperature, evolution has therefore decided to place the testicles outside the body, where the temperature is lower and optimal for creating swimmers.

MotilityCount meets Minister for the Interior and Health of Denmark, Sofie Løhde at the AmCham Denmark 2024 New Year’s Reception.

This week our CEO, Mogens C. Thomsen participated in the Annual AmCham Denmark 2024 New Year’s Reception taking place at Rydhave (the residence of the United States' Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark), where, among others, he met with the Minister for the Interior and Health of Denmark, Sophie Løhde. It was a great opportunity for MotilityCount to shortly introduce both our SwimCount™ S***m Quality Test and our SwimCount™ Harvester to the Minister, who showed interest in our company and our products.

The recent news about the proposal by the Danish Government to give couples the opportunity to receive free fertility treatment for their second child, means that the work in Fertility Treatments and early detection of Male Fertility are more important than ever before.

MotilityCount ApS already has a number of Regulatory approvals for our at-home SwimCount™ S***m Quality Test incl. the US FDA 510(k) and the CE IVD Mark among others, but we are still awaiting the CE Mark MDR Regulatory Approval (and later on the US FDA Clearance) for our SwimCount™ Harvester which we are convinced in the future will be an important tool within ART (Assisted Reproductive Technology) compared to the present methods used presently such as the Density Gradient Centrifugation (DGC).

Season’s Greetings from the SwimCount™ Team.

We look back at a very good year for our company, which we finished on a good note with the largest delivery of our SwimCount® S***m Quality Test to the US market so far.

We look forward to working together with all our Partners and Distributors in the new year to ensure the availability of our products in more than 30 countries.

Meet us at ESHRE 2024 in Amsterdam in July, MEDICA 2024 in Düsseldorf in November, and other trade fairs and exhibitions in the coming year.

Boy or girl?

Did you know that the s***m cell determines the gender?

When a s***m cell succeeds in fertilizing the egg, the gender is determined right away. This is because the s***m cell either carries the X or the Y chromosome.
So, if the s***m cell carries the X chromosome, it's a girl, and if it carries the Y chromosome, it's a boy.

Home of SwimCount™ - Copenhagen

Copenhagen is the capital of Denmark and home of SwimCount™. We want to share this beautiful city and its surroundings with you, so we took SwimCount™ out on a trip to different locations in and around Copenhagen.

Our first photo is taken by the water. One of the special features about Denmark is the long coastline. Denmark ranks 17th in the world of countries with the most coastline, about 8.754 km (5439 miles).

This SwimCount™ picture is taken at Charlottenlund Beach, only a short bike ride North of the city center. It’s a very popular beach, attracting a lot of people and it’s an excellent place to take a swim in the summer.

Did you know that s***m was once used as invisible ink?

This may sound strange, but desperate times call for desperate solutions. So, during World War I, s***m was used as invisible ink to write secret messages, as it couldn’t be detected with iodine, unlike other invisible inks.

The success of using s***m as invisible ink was short lived, because although it was undetectable to the eyes, it was easily detected by the nose… due to the very characteristic smell. The spies were therefore told to always use "fresh supplies" when writing a message.
