On June 10, AmCham Estonia CEO Daria Sivovol had the privilege of speaking at the CIEE Council on International Educational Exchange Global Internship Conference (GIC), held in Tallinn, Estonia, on June 10–12, 2026.
The CIEE Council on International Educational Exchange Global Internship Conference brings together leaders from higher education, industry, and government to advance global work-integrated learning. The event serves as a platform where knowledge is shared, ideas are sparked, and meaningful connections are made to support student success, public diplomacy, and economic growth.

Daria joined an outstanding panel of experts, including Nicole Hunter, Ph.D., Associate Teaching Professor at the University of Colorado Boulder, Mari Prok of CIEE Tallinn, and Robby Block, Director of Global Internships at CIEE Council on International Educational Exchange. Across the Atlantic: Insights on a Changing Transatlantic Relationship

Yesterday, AmCham Estonia and Miltton New Nordics brought together business leaders and transatlantic thinkers for an insightful discussion on the realities, challenges, and opportunities shaping US-European relations.
Joining us live from Washington, DC, Kristiina Helenius and Marko Mihkelson shared valuable perspectives on the evolving geopolitical and strategic landscape, offering attendees a front-row seat to the conversations shaping today’s transatlantic agenda.
The discussion continued with an engaging panel featuring Meelis Kitsing, Eerik-Niiles Kross, and Indrek Laul, expertly moderated by Sandra Kamilova from Miltton New Nordics. The panel explored how Estonia and Europe can navigate a rapidly changing global environment while strengthening cooperation, security, and economic ties with the United States.

💡 Key takeaway: While uncertainty has become a defining feature of today’s geopolitical and economic landscape, it also creates new opportunities for those prepared to adapt. Navigating this complexity requires strong partnerships, strategic thinking, and a willingness to look beyond immediate challenges to identify areas for growth, innovation, and deeper transatlantic cooperation.
A big thank you to our speakers, moderator, partner Miltton New Nordics, and everyone who joined the conversation and networking session that followed.

On May 27, the AmCham Estonia Defence, Security & Resilience Committee held its second quarterly meeting of the year kindly hosted by the Port of Tallinn / Tallinna Sadam - an AmCham member and active committee member.
The meeting featured an insightful tour of the port’s command centre, offering participants a closer look at the operational capabilities and resilience infrastructure of one of Estonia’s most important logistics hubs.
We also had the privilege of hearing an informative presentation from Robert Lang, Director of Defence Investments Cooperation at the Kaitseliit, who shared valuable perspectives on current defence investment cooperation and strategic priorities.
The final part of the meeting focused on welcoming new committee members and discussing our plans and future activities for the second half of the year. It was a productive exchange of ideas and a great opportunity to strengthen collaboration across the committee.
Our sincere thanks go to Stig Rogenbaum and the Port of Tallinn / Tallinna Sadam team for hosting such an informative and engaging meeting!
