Today’s reception with Halla Tómasdóttir, President of Iceland, was a powerful reminder of how historical courage shapes current sovereignty.

On August 20, 1991, Estonia restored its independence, and Iceland became the first nation to officially recognize it.

Celebrating this date together in Tallinn highlights the enduring strength of strategic alliances.

Beyond diplomacy, the discussion highlighted a critical leadership challenge: how organizations navigate generational shifts.

While technology accelerates data processing and systemic efficiency, it cannot replace human judgment, ethical boundaries, or shared purpose.

True resilience requires merging two vital perspectives: the foresight of emerging leaders and the contextual wisdom of experienced executives.

Bridging this gap isn’t a passive goal, it is an active structural advantage.

We don’t just build systems for the next generation, we build them together.

Eesti-Islandi Àrifoorum. AI for Good: AI Strategies, Education, and Scaling Technology

The event was organized by the Eesti Kaubandus-Tööstuskoda in collaboration with Iceland and the VĂ€lisministeerium / Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Today at the Estonian-Icelandic Business Forum in Tallinn, leaders discussed how technology is redefining rules at both state and business levels.

The key event was the Fireside Chat «AI for Good» featuring the President of Estonia, Alar Karis, and the President of Iceland, Halla Tómasdóttir, moderated by IT visionary Linnar Viik.

The conversation focused on directing artificial intelligence toward societal benefit, maintaining ethical balance, and boosting economic competitiveness.

Minister of Education and Research of Estonia, Kristina Kallas, presented the national initiative Estonia’s AI Leap, designed to prepare the next generation for a data-driven economy.

Key Takeaways and Outcomes:

‱ Education and Teachers First. AI integration starts with building educator capabilities and implementing programs across upper secondary (K10–K12) and vocational schools.

‱ Technology and Evidence-Based Approach. Estonia is building technology partnerships with OpenAI and applying scientific monitoring to study AI’s effect on learning.

‱ Evolution of Cognitive Skills. Routine tasks (memorization and basic understanding) are shifting to machines. Human focus must shift toward Higher Order Thinking Skills - critical analysis, systematic evaluation, and creativity.

‱ International Collaboration: An official Memorandum of Understanding was signed between AI & Robotics Estonia and New Nordics AI.

The Icelandic delegation presented sector capabilities across Cybersecurity, Fintech, AI Policy, and Venture Capital.

AI is not merely an automation tool, it is an evolutionary challenge.
Success belongs to those who think systematically, deeply, and ahead of the curve.

Yesterday’s “STRONGER TOGETHER” business forum in Tallinn brought together policymakers, defense authorities, and technology leaders from Estonia and Latvia.

Key Takeaways and Insights:

Official Partnership: The Ministries of Economy of both nations signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on-site, focusing on the security of supply and the coordination of state reserves.

Scale of Funding: The budget strategy through 2030 and the investment structure clearly indicate that funding for the security sector is reaching unprecedented levels, with the procurement of armaments predictably remaining the top priority (41%).

Focus on Innovation: The volume allocated for technological development in 2026 stands at approximately 25.9 million EUR, targeting business innovation, AI projects, 5G, quantum research, and support for defense startups.

In-depth Discussions: During the panel session, industry leaders and military experts engaged in detailed discussions regarding cybersecurity, smart border defense, and strategic lessons learned from Ukraine.

This intensive day concluded with the Livonia Awards ceremony and high-quality, open networking.

As a specialist working with system stress testing and crisis scenario modeling, this forum provided a compelling real-world example of building a resilient macro-architecture.

The presented budget charts and interstate agreements represent far more than just defense procurement distribution, they demonstrate the creation of actual Business Value and risk management at a state level.
Cross-border coordination of reserves between the two countries, combined with rigorous budget prioritization, serves as a classic preventive stress test for the entire regional ecosystem.

The main conclusion is clear. Amid global turbulence, long-term stability is achieved solely through proactive crisis modeling and the development of agile, deeply integrated systems capable of withstanding any external shocks.

Such gatherings clearly demonstrate that the synergy of technology and state partnership paves the way for a secure and resilient future for our region! đŸ‡ȘđŸ‡ȘđŸ‡±đŸ‡»

When you are practicing a kick while a child is running around in the background, your internal focus must be absolute😉

In boxing, if you miss a punch, the root cause is often how you position your feet.
In business, the rules are exactly the same: if it hurts in one spot, you usually have to look for the solution in another...

For the last few weeks, I have often heard requests during sessions that seem to be just technical.

Here are 7 living examples of how a company’s real diagnosis differs from its visible symptoms:

1. Have your sales dropped? Try to find a block in marketing.
Dropping sales do not always mean bad employees.
Often, it is a sign that the company has lost its connection with the external world and the market, turned inside itself, and stopped hearing the audience.

2. Fewer leads than usual? Refine your offers.
If the flow of potential clients slows down, the system signals that what you are broadcasting no longer resonates with your clients’ real needs.

3. Problem with the product? Have a conversation with your clients.
A product is what you give to the world. If it stalls, the fundamental balance of giving and taking is violated.

4. Do clients refuse to connect? Upgrade your service.
If your audience closes off and goes into deaf defense, it is always a mirror of the company’s internal behavior toward its clients.
Service shows your real respect and care.

5. Problem with the service? Go back to operations. It is a sign that the basic settings are broken: regulations, control, and management on the ground.

6. Are you stuck in operations? Start hiring people.
If a leader gets stuck in operational processes, they break the main law of management.
You take the place of a linear employee, while the leader’s place remains empty.

7. Difficult to find employees? Go back to the company strategy.
Strong people and top managers never come to a system that is blind and does not know where to go. They need a big goal.

In business, it is impossible to fix just one thing without changing the entire structure.
What you do not see inside your processes is what actually starts managing your money and scaling.

Corporate Machiavellianism. Why 70% of Mergers Stall Due to the «Rebellion of the Barons»

Financial and legal Due Diligence covers everything except one thing: hidden internal conflicts and structural sabotage within the executive team.
Over 70% of post-merger integrations stall due to this exact blind spot. What you cannot see in your system is what is actually managing you.

When a well-funded company plateaus, the root cause is frequently an unvoiced systemic block within top management. It doesn’t look like open rebellion.
It looks like delayed emails, polite passive aggression, artificial alignment, and perfect reports masking complete stagnation.

This invisible friction manifests in three destructive patterns:

1 «Non-Aggression Pact» in the Boardroom. Top executives maintain artificial harmony, choosing to stop challenging each other’s failures to protect their own positions. It’s a silent agreement: «I won’t question your delayed product launch if you stay silent about my bleeding marketing budget.»

2 Corporate Feudalism. Department heads protect their own territory, budget, and headcount instead of optimizing for overall growth. Any cross-functional directive is quietly neutralized if it threatens their personal zone of influence. They choose to rule a failing fiefdom rather than serve a scaling empire.

3 Legacy Debt Trap. Early-stage loyalists often fail to scale mentally when the company hits the €10M+ mark. They turn into operational bottlenecks, blocking high-tier talent. Yet, the founder remains paralyzed by guilt and old friendships, prioritizing personal sentiment over market survival.

Speed aesthetics and systemic depth.

Recently I took part as a guest speaker in an exclusive Road Tour by .

A test drive of the legendary Porsche cars and a presentation by the CEO of Maario Orgla.

Next was where we were given a short tour. It was fascinating to learn about the history of the place and how their product is made.

Then, my exclusive speech dedicated to systemic business analysis and strategic modeling took place at Siidrifarm.

As part of the presentation of my author’s method, SystemicPortraitureℱ, the club residents and I looked at what is usually ignored by standard analytical models: hidden structures and dynamics in a company, «blind spots» in management, and blocks that slow down growth.

Despite a tight schedule, we conducted a live, high-speed systemic analysis for one of the participants.
Even through such an express analysis, we managed to see the internal block from the inside and clearly demonstrate exactly where the growth energy is trapped within the business structure.

The main takeaway. It is crucial for a leader to clearly understand internal and external systemic resistances in order to scale.

Huge gratitude to for the invitation, trust, and organization.
Many thanks to Maario Orgla and the entire team at for the powerful test drive.
And thank you to for the premium atmosphere and impeccable hospitality.

Interesting fact that “sunk costs” refer to situations where a company or political entity invests in a project and continues to develop it, ignoring signals that the project is highly likely to fail.
Even if it doesn’t fail completely, the alternative resource allocation would yield greater resources.

Why does the organisation act like that?
Because stopping a project means to admit to yourself and others that it was a mistake.

According to the cognitivist interpretation, by investing in a losing course of action, we fall victim to psychological effects similar to those described by Kahneman and Tversky.

In Systemic Portraitureℱ, any prolonged investment in a failing project is viewed not merely as a calculation error, but as the «face» of a process concealing deep systemic dynamics.

Persistence in a losing course of action is often an unconscious attempt to preserve the integrity of the system, where admitting a mistake is perceived as a threat to the hierarchy or the fundamental security of the structure.

Exiting the Dynamic.
Resolving the issue of sunk costs requires «stress-testing» scenarios and identifying the true interests hidden behind the project’s facade.

Only by restoring clarity to the hierarchy and acknowledging the right to terminate destructive connections can one stop the «resource drain» and move from stagnation toward a new vector of development.

Case Study. Why your business is hitting rock bottom

Sudden collapse? Never. A crisis isn’t a surprise, it’s a slow decay.
Even in war or a «bad market,» some strike gold.
If you’re failing, it’s systemic.

The Diagnosis (2022–2026):
It started with ignored cash flow gaps and a slow drop in leads.
By 2026, leads are down 50%, salaries are slashed, and marketing is just burning cash.

Why? A crisis is the price for leadership’s arrogance and amnesia.

Root Causes:
1.The 50/50 Trap: One partner always carries more. Result: Burnout and stagnation.

2.Business as a «Family»: «Adopting» employees is fatal. Children don’t work; they throw tantrums and drain your budget.

3.«Sex with your work»: If your company is your «child» or «passion,» you’re suffocating it.
Energy must flow: You → Product → Client.
Don’t build a monument to your ego.

4.The «Give & Take» Imbalance: Hollow promises create a systemic deficit.
People feel the «dead» energy and leave for where there is life.

The Cure:
‱ Humility: Accept systemic laws.
‱ «Divorce» or «Reboot»: Fix the partnership.
‱ Hard KPIs: Swap «family» for «performance.» Surgical staff turnover.
‱ Flip the Focus: Face the client, not your ego.
‱ Radical Method: Sometimes you must burn it down to relaunch from a new angle.

Verdict: Return to your rightful place, or the system will cleanse itself by getting rid of you.
