Pathology department is one of the active departments in Medical Research Institute hospital, where it performs diagnostic, therapeutic and educational roles as well as research. The staff members carry the diagnostic role in several ways, including:
-Examination of surgical excised specimens.
-Intra-operative instant preliminary diagnosis of breast suspicious cases.
-Cytopathological examination
of fluids or lesions aspirated blindly in our clinic or radiologically guided. and doctor PhD degree in histopathology and cytopathology as well as complementary lectures included in the program of other degrees. Research role:
-By supervision and collaboration with other clinical departments. The department consists of highly specialized laboratory units where examination, dissection and processing of specimens to be ready for microscopic examination and diagnosis is done. The staff members are highly qualified university professors, assistant professors, lecturers, assistant lecturers and demonstrators, with a team of well trained technicians and secretary.
