🐾 Meet Dr. Diana Matta owner of Pet Wellness Clinic 🐾

‏🎓 Master’s Degree in Veterinary Surgery
🩺 Specialized in Surgery of pet Animals

Pets…
They are family. 🐾

📸 This cat weighs 10 kg! While every cat is different, this weight can be dangerous for many cats and may lead to serious health issues.

🐱 Obesity in Cats: More Than Just Extra Weight!

Did you know that obesity is one of the most common health problems in cats, especially as they get older?

A cat that is significantly overweight may look cute, but excess weight can seriously affect their health and quality of life.

⚠️ Risks of Obesity in Cats:
• Diabetes mellitus
• Arthritis and joint pain
• Heart and respiratory problems
• Difficulty grooming and maintaining hygiene
• Increased risk during anesthesia and surgery
• Reduced activity and shorter lifespan

As cats age, their metabolism slows down and they often become less active, making weight gain even more likely.

✅ How to Help Your Cat Stay Healthy:
• Feed measured portions
• Avoid excessive treats
• Encourage daily play and exercise
• Schedule regular veterinary checkups
• Monitor body weight regularly

❤️ A healthy weight means a happier, more active life for your feline friend.
