Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF) :

A liquid medication applied by a soft brush at the clinic to stop the progression of tooth decay.

How it works:
It contains silver, which kills the bacteria causing the decay, and fluoride, which helps strengthen and remineralize the tooth structure.

Key benefit:
It can arrest cavities without the need for drilling 🪏or injections🩼

*SDF’s only drawback is the dark stains it leaves in the cavity which indicates that it actually worked and the soft cavity hardened.

This is easily masked with the filling on top that also seals the cavity and restores it back to it’s correct form ✨

I’m often asked about the “best” candy.
