JAMA Oncology reported the publication of short- and long-term results from several randomized clinical trials in 2025, including sustained benefits of CDK4/6 inhibitors with endocrine therapy for hormone receptor–positive, ERBB2-negative early stage .

Other notable findings included optimization of drug dosing to reduce adverse events, evidence-based regimens for managing delirium at end of life, and secondary analyses covering cognitive changes after chemotherapy, circulating tumor DNA predictors, and low-dose aspirin use for cancer prevention in older adults.

The journal received 3738 manuscripts from 74 countries, achieved an acceptance rate of 4% for research articles, and more than 8.3 million article views.

توصل الباحثون إلى أن عامل تصوير فموي جديد، يُعرف أيضًا باسم "عامل التباين"، يُساعد أخصائيي الأشعة على رؤية بنية الأمعاء والأمراض بشكل أفضل في التصوير المقطعي المحوسب، مقارنةً بعوامل التباين الفموية الحالية.

تشير النتائج إلى أن هذا العامل الجديد يُحسّن بشكل ملحوظ رؤية أمراض الأمعاء الالتهابية أو السرطان في البطن، وقد يُتيح تشخيصًا أسرع وأكثر دقة.

Gastric cancer is the fifth most diagnosed and the fifth leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Globally, nearly a million new cases and 659 853 deaths from were reported in 2022.

Localized gastric cancer is treated with gastrectomy, and locally advanced disease is treated with surgery, immunotherapy, and chemotherapy. For patients with unresectable or metastatic gastric cancer, use of immune checkpoint inhibitors and targeted therapies, and integration of supportive care, improves survival by several months.

This JAMA Review summarizes current evidence regarding the epidemiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis, and management of gastric cancer.
