In 2010, Egypt was named the "fattest African country," and the 14th fattest country in the world according to statistics shared by the World Health Organization. A new study, published by the New England Journal of Medicine, found that 35% of Egyptian adults (around 19 million Egyptians) suffer from obesity- among the highest in the world! The results also revealed that over 10 percent of children (3.6 million) are overweight. This is where “N for Nutrition” found its mission. We want to help parents establish a healthy eating habit for their children from a very young age to help them flourish into healthy adults.
“N for Nutrition” is a gateway for both parents and children to become more knowledgeable about nutrition as well as giving them tools to make healthy choices every day. Our long-term goal (vision) is a healthier Egypt, and where better to start than with our own children? "N for Nutrition" also provides a meal plan service for pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and for children over the age of 1 year.
