قد يبدو الأمر غريبًا، لكن الأبحاث الحديثة تشير إلى وجود علاقة بين بكتيريا الفم وبعض أمراض الدماغ مثل Alzheimer’s disease.

🔬 بعض أنواع البكتيريا المرتبطة بأمراض اللثة—مثل Porphyromonas gingivalis—يمكن أن تدخل إلى مجرى الدم، خاصة عند وجود التهاب مزمن في اللثة. ومع الوقت، قد تصل إلى الدماغ وتُسهم في زيادة الالتهاب، وهو عامل مهم في تطور الأمراض العصبية.
