More than half of young adults surveyed say social norms and community expectations influence their views on marriage or a stable partnership. While these influences are important for many people, every individual should have the freedom to decide what is right for them.

Honouring traditions should not trump honouring individual choices.

Building the future we choose starts with respecting both diversity and individual choice.
