The queues weren´t too bad outside the foreigners office in Almeria this morning. However, unfortunately the TIE fingerprint appointments with the national police are still really hard to get at the moment.
Therefore in the meantime, as mentioned in a previous post...
If you have arrived with your visa; please ensure you register on the padron at the town hall within one month of your arrival, then sit tight until further notice.
If you have just renewed your residency; you have your favourable resolution to confirm you are a resident, to carry with you until you can renew your TIE card.
If you are renewing your TIE card protected by the Withdrawal agreement (pre-Brexit); the rights of British nationals protected under the Withdrawal agreement are not dependent on holding a valid TIE card. The card serves as evidence of those rights, but its expiry does not mean the loss of residency status. This has been confirmed by the national police and British embassy (we have this in writing). Therefore renew when possible.
Many thanks, Carly
