Starting a new series: Angel Numbers 🔢✨
You've probably seen "111" or "444" everywhere and wondered what it means. Let me introduce you to the world of angel numbers.
The person who brought angel numbers into mainstream spirituality is Doreen Virtue, a spiritual teacher who, in the late 1990s and early 2000s, created accessible guides that decoded these numerical sequences. But Virtue didn't invent this concept; she synthesised and modernised ancient knowledge.
The roots go deep: Numerology traces back thousands of years to ancient civilisations: Pythagoras in Greece, Kabbalistic traditions in Judaism, Chinese numerology, and sacred number systems across cultures. Numbers have always held spiritual significance, carrying energetic frequencies and divine messages.
What Virtue did was democratise this wisdom.
She took esoteric numerological knowledge that was once reserved for mystics and scholars, simplified the meanings, and made them accessible to everyone. She provided us with a practical framework to interpret the numbers we encounter repeatedly in daily life (on clocks, receipts, and license plates) as messages from the universe, angels, or our higher consciousness.
