We hit 3 digits!! đŸ„ł

At some point, we can hopefully go plastic-free đŸ€ž Unfortunately, that time hasn’t come yet. Current paper-based solutions don’t offer the products the protection they need, and biodegradable options are either not truly biodegradable, or too high in contaminants. But we keep eyes and ears open!

In the meantime, we continue to fund the collection of 250g of plastic in coastal regions around the world per 900g bag of WAM sold. That’s over 11x the weight of the empty bag. It doesn’t fix the problem, but it’s something we can do right now that has a real impact.

Not saying there won’t ever be discounts. A little 10-15% off are a great way to say thank you to loyal clients. But 60% every other week shoud raise questions. đŸ€”

Not saying there won’t ever be a sold out product. It happened before and might happen again - but those are genuine planning mistakes, manufacturing delays or budget issues rather than calculated marketing stunts. đŸ«Ł

And those “body goals”? Well, let’s just say WAM is here to shift the focus from “looks” to genuine health. 🙌

Not playing by the rules means WAM grows a little slower. But it’s worth it.

Thank you Women’s Lift Club in Berlin đŸ„°đŸ’Ș

Supporting great people who do great things is on of the main goals at WAM, so when Jenny told me about Women’s Lift Club, I was all in!

Although I couldn’t make it in person, WAM was present at the latest Lift Lab event with samples, shakers, and the best representation imaginable. And since this one definitely wasn’t the last event in the series, I look forward to joining for the next! â˜ș

Can you overdose protein powder? đŸ€”

As usual, the answer is “it depends” 😉

Protein powder is a very convenient source of isolated protein that makes it easier to hit your daily target - but it’s also not much more than that. Hyper-focusing on protein powder will a) not make you superhuman and b) might make you start to miss out on other important nutrients your body needs to thrive.

One or two portions of protein powder per day as part of a balanced diet? Absolutely no problem.
Depending on it and skipping meals in favour of a shake? Not a good idea.

Apple pie baked oats for breakfast 🍎
filmed this at night so please excuse the tired face 😅 high protein, high fibre, stays nice in the fridge thanks to banana and apple in the batter. recipe below 👇

1 mashed banana
80g oats
œ grated apple
25g diced almonds
30g WAM Protein Pure Vanilla
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
200ml oat milk

Mix everything together, place into a baking tray and top with œ chopped apple. Bake at 180°C for 20 min. Let cool before slicing.

July founder update for those who don’t watch WAM’s stories or really love recaps 😉

This month was a bit slower than usual - I took some time off myself, and so did most of my collaborators and suppliers. But that doesn’t mean things aren’t moving forward. It’s actually quite the opposite and I’m already setting things in motion for late August and September 😄

TECHNICALLY every flavour WAM has ever launched was already a limited edition đŸ€«

I order the smallest batch my manufacturer allows, because that’s what a self-funded brand can actually afford. It’s safe to say I’m not a fan of “scarcity marketing”. If you like a flavour, it stays. If it doesn’t, it might never come back (though this didn’t happen yet).

That being said, the next flavour will either be coconut or strawberry - but the development will still take some time đŸŒ±
