4 crowns on 2 implants: a complex case where every detail matters 💙
The patient is 77 years old. The dentist’s task was to restore four missing teeth in a situation involving a very narrow alveolar ridge.
The implants were placed immediately on the day of tooth extraction. Due to the limited amount of available bone, the doctor had to determine their position with exceptional precision and create a reliable foundation for the future prosthetic restoration.
After the implants had healed, the next equally important stage began: the fabrication of a four-unit dental bridge supported by only two implants.
The dentist carefully selected:
🔹 individual abutments of the correct height;
🔹 the appropriate angle for positioning and securing the prosthesis;
🔹 the shape and proportions of each crown;
🔹 a shade that matched the patient’s natural teeth as closely as possible;
🔹 the correct position of the restoration in relation to the gum.
When implants are positioned deeply, selecting every component correctly is especially important. This affects not only the appearance of the crowns, but also gum health, ease of daily hygiene and the long-term durability of the result.
At Diente Sano, the dentist works exclusively with original screws, abutments and other components supplied by the implant-system manufacturer. These are not details to compromise on, because the patient should be able to use the prosthesis comfortably and for many years.
The shape, colour and design of the future crowns were also carefully coordinated by the dentist with the dental technician. Much of this meticulous work remains behind the scenes, but it is precisely what makes a natural and functional result possible.
The result: four aesthetic crowns securely supported by two implants. The patient can once again chew comfortably, smile freely and experience the restoration almost like her own natural teeth.
