☀️ Out of Office – July Adventure! 🚐💛
It’s time to slow down and recharge. I’m taking the entire month of July off to enjoy a summer road trip through Europe in our camper with my girls. 🌿✨ Family time, adventure, and making beautiful memories together.

Summer just started, the first sun is out… and boom, a cold sore shows up like it was invited.

Yep, sunshine can trigger it. UV light + dry lips = perfect timing for that unwanted guest.

Keep it simple: – Use lip balm with SPF 30+ – Reapply when you’re out in the sun – Keep your lips hydrated – Don’t pick the scab (it only makes it worse) – Start treatment as soon as you feel the tingle

GLP-1 is a hormone in your body that helps regulate:
* Appetite
* Blood sugar levels
* Digestion
Some medications now mimic GLP-1 (like Wegovy and Mounjaro) and are given as a once-weekly injection. They support your body’s natural regulation, they’re not a magic pill, and work best alongside healthy habits!

For women in menopause, hormonal changes can affect metabolism and appetite, which is why GLP-1 is often mentioned in the media.

I’m taking a little time to recharge and spend quality moments with family and friends:
8–12 Dec – Short surf trip to Morocco  I’ll be unplugged, enjoying waves, sun, and some well-deserved downtime.
22 Dec–9 Jan – Christmas & New Year in the snow with my kids and friends  Time to celebrate, make memories, and enjoy a bit of festive chaos.

Let’s talk insulin resistance.  Quietly common and 100% worth knowing about.
You usually can’t feel insulin resistance. There’s no “my insulin feels moody today” sensation. It works behind the scenes, gently nudging blood sugar upward long before diabetes shows up. That’s why testing can be so valuable. 
When should you consider testing? • Family history of type 2 diabetes • Weight gain that doesn’t match lifestyle • Increased waist circumference • Irregular periods or PCOS • High blood pressure or cholesterol • Fatigue after meals • You just want a clear picture of your metabolic health 
Typical tests include fasting glucose, fasting insulin, HbA1c, and sometimes HOMA-IR. 
The positive part? Insulin resistance is highly responsive to small lifestyle shifts. You don’t need perfection — just consistency. A bit more movement, balanced meals, good sleep, and stress management already make your cells far more cooperative.
