SRUC RESS 2026 has come to an end after three remarkable days of scientific exchange, surgical education and collaboration in shoulder and elbow surgery.

This year’s meeting brought together the Romanian and international orthopaedic community around high-level presentations, clinical discussions and the exchange of experience that continues to drive our speciality forward.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our faculty, participating surgeons, colleagues and guests for their valuable contributions, as well as to our partners and sponsors for their continued support.

Everything is ready for 2 days of the SRUC Shoulder & Elbow Cadaveric Arthroscopy Course. The stations are prepped, the towers are live, and the name packs are waiting for our delegates.

We’re looking forward to two intense days of hands-on learning, from portal placement to advanced techniques, with the best possible simulation of the real thing.

Next week, SRUC RESS 2026 begins.

From 2 to 4 October 2026, the Romanian Shoulder and Elbow Society will bring together surgeons and specialists in Poiana Brașov for three days dedicated to scientific exchange, advanced surgical practice and education in shoulder and elbow surgery.

We look forward to welcoming our faculty, colleagues and participants to K2 Alpin Brașov for another edition focused on collaboration, clinical experience and the continued development of our field.

19 Romanian surgeons are now registered members of SECEC.

The number continues to grow steadily, reflecting the progress of shoulder and elbow surgery in Romania and the increasingly strong presence of our medical community at an international level.

Last week in Barcelona brought three days of excellent science, valuable discussions, meetings with old friends and mentors, and opportunities to connect with new colleagues. I was particularly glad to attend alongside three of my fellows.

The next important meeting takes place at home. The RESS Annual Meeting, held from 2 to 4 October in Poiana Brașov, will take place under SECEC patronage, bringing together a faculty of 16 surgeons from six countries.

Registration is now open, and I would be very pleased to see you there.

Next stop, Paris 2027, for the 40th Anniversary SECEC Meeting.

Continuing the SRUC RESS 2026 faculty introductions with another group of colleagues who will contribute to this year’s scientific programme.

I am pleased to be joined by Dr Gabriel Darca, Dr Louis Gossing and Prof. Dr Merter Özenci, and I will also be taking part as President of RESS and a member of the faculty.

Together, we will bring different perspectives and experience across shoulder surgery, arthroscopy, arthroplasty, sports injuries and complex reconstruction, with the shared goal of encouraging meaningful scientific exchange throughout the meeting.
