✨ Wellness should feel like living, not limiting. For those who’ve followed me since my boutique hotel days, you might be wondering… is this the same Linda? It absolutely is! A little backstory…

For those who remember The Urban Villa…

For nine years, The Urban Villa Boutique Hotel was Marbella’s hidden gem—an intimate retreat, whispered about by friends, a place to escape, recharge, and soak in breathtaking views. Sadly, like many, I had to close due to Covid and the challenges that followed. But if you loved the warm hospitality, the personal touch, and the unique experiences I created there—you’re going to love what I do now even more. Because now, I bring that same magic—wellness, connection, and transformation—to my retreats and programs. Different setting, same passion, same heart 💛

Looking at it from the water, you'd never guess a handful of beans and a bird saved the place.

Wishing you were all here!

Isola Tavolara:

📍 The Name: "Tavolara" comes from tavola (table) thanks to its dramatic 565-meter-high flat-topped limestone plateau rising straight out of the sea.

Did you know that this island claims to be the smallest kingdom in the world?

It has some pretty random history...

Back in 1836, King Charles Albert of Sardinia visited the island to hunt wild goats.

Legend was the goats had golden teeth, but it turns out they were just stained bright yellow from eating all the wild helichrysum on the cliffs.

Helichrysum is known as the "immortal flower" because of its incredible rejuvenating & anti-inflammatory benefits... so it does make you wonder if those goats were living to a ripe old age! 🌼

While hunting, the King met the island’s sole inhabitant, Giuseppe Bertoleoni, who boldly introduced himself as the "King of Tavolara."
Charles Albert jokingly played along and declared him a real monarch.

The family totally ran with it. They passed down the royal title through generations and even managed to get an informal nod from Queen Victoria’s representatives, who took a family photo that ended up in Buckingham Palace's royal collection!

It isn’t officially recognized by Italy today, but the Bertoleoni family still lives on the island, keeps the title alive, and runs the main seafood spot on the beach. So you can still get lunch served by an honorary king.

I love fun, quirky facts (plus all holistic stuff)... I'd love to know your thoughts?

You know when life gets a bit chaotic and your mind feels like it has fifty tabs open at once? That’s usually my cue to kick off my shoes, get my feet right into the sand, and just lie down for a bit.

It turns out there’s actual science behind why that feels so amazing!

It’s called grounding (or earthing), and it’s basically nature’s way of giving us a full system reboot:

It literally neutralizes stress:
The Earth actually carries a gentle negative electrical charge, and wet beach sand and salt water are amazing conductors. When your skin touches the sand, your body absorbs electrons that act like natural antioxidants, wiping out free radicals and lowering inflammation.

It flips your brain's "calm" switch:

Standing or lying directly on the earth shifts your nervous system out of that high-alert "fight-or-flight" mode and right into "rest-and-digest." It lowers your cortisol (the stress hormone) almost immediately.

It gives your feet a mini massage:
The texture of the sand stimulates thousands of nerve endings in your feet, which boosts your circulation and helps release built-up physical tension in your body.

It clears mental clutter:
Pausing to lie on the beach... listening to the water and just watching boats drift by... instantly boosts alpha brainwaves. It’s that exact wave state where your mind feels super calm, present, and creative.

So next time you feel a bit overwhelmed, don't just go for a walk... ditch the shoes, lay back in the sand, and let the earth do the heavy lifting for a while! 😍

Who loves the beach?

We’re on the tender heading back out to the yacht, leaving Porto-Vecchio behind... and wow, this water doesn't even look real! It's so crystal-clear you can see straight down to the seabed.

Fun bit of context while we float across it...
Corsica sits right next to Sardinia, so over the centuries literally everyone tried to claim it... Greeks, Phoenicians, Romans, Moors, Spanish, Genoese... even Barbary pirates had their run of the coast, until eventually France.

But if you ask anyone here, they’ll tell you straight... they aren't French, and they definitely aren't Italian. They’re Corsican, period.

Years ago, Porto-Vecchio was actually a malaria-ridden marsh people avoided all summer because of the swarms of mosquitos!
And now it’s the place to be.

I definitely recommend a visit here 🥰

From a mosquito-infested pirate haven to a superyacht paradise... Porto-Vecchio has come a long way. ⚓️

Back in the day, traders loved the cork and salt here, but refused to set foot on land after dark. The surrounding marshes were so ridden with malaria that ship captains locked themselves aboard overnight just to survive the swarms.

Fast forward: those deadly swamps are now world-famous salt pans and turquoise lagoons.
No pirates, no malaria... just superyachts, gelato, and Aperol Spritzes by the quay. 🍹

You know that feeling when life starts to feel a bit… goldfishy? Same lap. Same bowl. Same fake little castle in the corner. 🐠

At first, the bowl feels safe.
Comfortable.
Predictable.

But then one day you realise… hang on… I can barely turn around in here without bumping into my own excuses.

And maybe that restless feeling?
Maybe it’s not a problem at all.
Maybe it’s simply your soul nudging you towards something bigger.
Maybe you’ve outgrown the bowl.🤔

So maybe it’s time to stop circling and start eyeing up that big sparkling river out there…
Catch some air.
Shake things up.
Do the thing that makes your stomach flutter a little.

Because yes, jumping into the unknown can feel wildly inconvenient for your inner control freak. 😂

But imagine the moment you land in something bigger… freer… more YOU.

No tiny glass walls.
No more swimming in circles.
Just current, possibility, adventure… and a lot more room to breathe.

Sometimes the boldest thing you can do is trust yourself enough to leap.

And funny enough… that’s exactly what a beautiful group of us will be doing starting this Thursday at my monastery retreat 14-18 May ✨

Stepping away from the noise.
Breathing deeper.
Resetting.
Laughing.
Eating nourishing food.

Moving, exploring, reconnecting… and remembering there’s a whole river waiting beyond the bowl.

The river is waiting...

Most people spend life worrying about the weight of the world… Meanwhile, in Setenil de las Bodegas, they’ve turned that weight into one of the most beautiful villages in Spain! 🇪🇸

I loved wandering through little streets where homes, cafés, and tapas bars are tucked directly underneath giant rock cliffs… like the mountain decided to become everyone’s slightly overprotective landlord. 😂

And interestingly... Those enormous rocks actually keep the houses naturally cool in summer and warmer in winter… nature’s original air conditioning system.

While everyone else is building on the earth, these guys just moved in with it.

It made me think… we spend so much time trying to remove every obstacle, fix every problem, control every uncertainty… when sometimes life works better when you stop fighting the rock above your head and just dance underneath it instead. 💃✨

A lovely little memory from 4 years ago 🌻

What’s one place that completely surprised you in Spain? ♥️

A 15th-Century Journey for the Modern Soul
At this Unique Spanish Monastery, near Seville

They say that walls have ears, but at La Cartuja de Cazalla, they have a soul.

You’re standing on a site that has been a silent witness to history since the Phoenicians first walked this land. If these stones could talk, they’d tell a story of 600 years of transformation... and now, it’s your turn.

This 15th-century monastery north of Seville isn't just a backdrop; it’s a high-vibration power spot where history and healing collide.

Why this retreat is different:

Cellular Reset: Located on a unique geological fault line, the geobiology here facilitates a deep nervous system "unwind," helping you recover 2-3x faster than a standard holiday.

The Power of the Gong: Experience 5 massive Sound Baths inside ancient arches. The sonic frequencies act as a "mental broom," sweeping away cognitive clutter and harmonising your brainwaves for total mental clarity.

Flamenco Therapy: Move beyond the dance. This is a rhythmic release designed to channel suppressed emotions through percussive footwork and fluid movement... a cathartic "soul-shaking" that leaves you feeling empowered and deeply grounded.

Ancient Grounds: Reconnect with the Earth on hikes through 600-million-year-old red rocks and find perspective under UNESCO Starlight Reserve skies.

Holistic Luxury: Enjoy gut-loving organic cuisine and deep rest in a private monument (and don't worry, there are no monks waking you up at dawn! 😉).

📍 14-18 May | Seville, Spain

Don't just watch the video... experience it. Spots are limited on purpose to preserve the sanctity of this private estate.
