Different tools. Different approaches.
Sometimes soft. Sometimes deep.
One of the things I often remind students is that more pressure isnât always better.
As practitioners, we want to take care of our own bodies too. I donât want to overuse my thumbs if I can achieve the same result in a more relaxed and sustainable way.
And for those clients who love deep work (Iâm one of them too đ), itâs worth remembering that more intensity isnât always whatâs needed. Sometimes the body responds better to a little less.
And if more pressure is truly needed, there are other tools available: an elbow, a forearm, a different angle, a different quality of touch.
In our trainings, we explore a wide range of approaches and learn how to choose the right tool for the right moment.
Not just learning techniques, but developing the sensitivity to work in tune with our own boundaries and the boundaries of the person receiving.
Thatâs where bodywork becomes an art.
