Just SIX WEEKS to go till Donna steps on stage as a mature woman to compete in a Body Building Competition to raise funds for LWP and to prove to herself that most things are possible with the right mindset.

We have been following her journey for around nine months and are amazed at her progress.

After more than a few headaches, we have finally completed the two year renewal of Association certificates 😅

Huge THANK YOU to Silvia Hurtado for her patience and tenacity and help getting us through the legal maze.

Had to be followed by a celebratory coffee and a little peace and calm of El Charco….. which also included some very interesting LWP planning 🩵

🩵12 MEMBERS. 12 OPPORTUNITIES. ALL MADE POSSIBLE BY YOU. 🩵

This week, Carol became the 12th LWP member to receive her BeechBands, thanks to the incredible generosity of those who have donated and fundraised for us.

No two people’s Parkinson’s are the same, and there are no guarantees — but our members now have the opportunity to explore whether the BeechBand can make a positive difference to their everyday lives.

It’s been a day of LWP meetings today as we move forward with planning our 3rd and 4th Quarter events and strategy

First off with events and legal matters with volunteers Bill, Derek and Tricia

Then on to a meeting to formalise a plan on how we can enhance and expand the support we offer to Members

… and finally, an invitation from Steve Wells, from Monster Radio, to share an update on LWP and news of a challenge taking place in October by Member Donna, whose husband Steve is living with Parkinson’s .
Donna is training to participate in a body building event as a mature woman to prove to herself, and others … that almost anything is possible with the right mindset. She is also fundraising for LWP via a GO FUND ME page (see link in comments)

Thanks to all who gave of their time today, very much appreciated… together we are stronger 🩵

LWP boules evening number two … and another fun evening 🎳

Old friends and new coming together, even our new T.shirts for VOLUNTEERS got an outing !!

Well the ‘boys’ did it again !! .. winning by a very close margin…but Tricia and Catherine were still ready to celebrate a great evening
I think we need to study their ‘technique’ ladies .. 🩵

Thank you to Bill for making arrangements at the venue and for the messages of thanks I’ve received from members this morning … much appreciated !
