Autism, ADHD and hypermobility comorbidity: muscle pain, fatigue, overwhelm and post-exercise crashes are increasingly studied as a connected pattern — not separate problems.
Science increasingly shows that neurodivergence and hypermobility cluster together — along with dysautonomia, chronic fatigue, gut issues and anxiety. (Csecs et al., 2022). People with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome are 7.4x more likely to be autistic (Cederlöf et al., 2016).
And because hypermobility is a collagen difference — not just "bendy joints" — it often shows up quietly: muscle and fascia pain, tension that stretching never releases, feeling wrecked after normal exercise classes.
You don't need a diagnosis to recognise yourself in this. You don't need to be an extreme case. If you've been quietly suspecting the same tools may help.
Movement can help, but not every kind. Strength, proprioception, intention. That's what I teach — from inside one of these bodies.
