Rooted in nervous system regulation and whole-body balance. About Suzanne – Suaimhneas Natural Health

Welcome to Suaimhneas Natural Health! I’m Suzanne, the founder and heart behind this holistic wellness practice. Originally from the serene coastal village of County Kerry, Ireland, I’ve always found peace by the sea. My journey into health and wellness began 10 years ago with a 4-year BSc (Hons)

in General Nursing. As a registered General Nurse, I’ve combined my medical knowledge with holistic practices to offer a unique approach to health. I’m now a licensed Acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioner, having recently completed a 3-year Diploma in Acupuncture and TCM in Dublin, Ireland. My passion for holistic health led me to volunteer in Nepal for 3 months with an NGO, providing free primary care through acupuncture and TCM—a deeply enriching experience. In addition to my acupuncture practice, I completed my Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) in India. I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to teach yoga in Kerala, India, and Sri Lanka, further solidifying my commitment to a holistic and integrative approach to health and wellbeing. At Suaimhneas Natural Health, I aim to support your body’s innate wisdom to self-heal through acupuncture, TCM, and yoga, fostering a sense of peace, calmness, and balance. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about how these practices can benefit you. Take care, Suzanne 🍃

🤍 Moving with love for Nepal 🇳🇵

I’m feeling incredibly grateful and deeply moved.

In just three days of organising, we came together this morning and have so far raised €560 for the relief and rescue efforts in Nepal.

To every single person who showed up, donated, shared the fundraiser, helped organise, or simply sent a message of support, thank you. And a special thank you to The Bubble Club Ibiza for giving us this beautiful space to move, as well as your friends and families who supported you in being part of this. Every contribution, no matter the size, has meaning.

I feel incredibly lucky to be surrounded by such wonderful, supportive and caring people here in Ibiza. ❤️

Today, we moved together with love, compassion and kindness, reflecting on Ahimsa, the first of the ethical guidelines within the eight limbs of yoga.

Ahimsa is often translated as non-harming, towards ourselves and towards others. But I’ve also been reflecting on what it means to extend that principle to the world we live in.

How can I express my care, love and compassion for this world through the choices I make every day?

Sometimes it is through something as simple as coming together, moving our bodies, opening our hearts, and choosing to help where we can.

We closed our practice with the beautiful mantra:

Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu
May all beings everywhere be happy and free.

And with a Metta meditation, a practice of loving-kindness, sending wishes of compassion, peace and wellbeing outward, beyond ourselves.

Today reminded me that yoga truly is so much more than what happens on the mat.

Thank you for showing up.
Thank you for caring.
Thank you for moving with love. 🤍

🇳🇵 May our practice, our intentions and our actions reach those who need them most.

If anyone else would like to contribute to our group donation, please send me a message. I’ll be making the final transfer tomorrow to the official government account recommended for the Nepal disaster relief efforts, so there is still an opportunity to add to our collective donation.

Every contribution, however small, makes a difference. 🙏

The real reason Ibiza is magnetic for me is so much more than the perception of what life here looks like.

This year, I returned for my third season and fourth visit, drawn back by the magic and beauty this island has to offer.

The nature. The blend of water and earth. And, most importantly, the people.

During my first season, one of my friends described the people here as “the dreamers”, people who raise you up, rather than pull you down. And I think that’s such a beautiful way to describe them.

The life I’ve built here is something I’m incredibly proud of. It hasn’t always been easy, and it has definitely been a challenge. But I’ve been able to succeed and flourish while working three jobs, making time for friends and family to visit, and building new friendships with wonderful people who have helped this island feel like home.

Of course, social media can portray life very differently from how it really is.

My life here is busy. There are responsibilities, long days and many different roles to show up for. But I’m so grateful to wake up each day feeling happy, and to have created a life that feels meaningful to me.

And yet, my favourite part of living in Ibiza is the quiet time I get to spend alone in nature.

Just like in this video.

When so many of my roles require me to be social, energetic and present for others, these moments allow me to slow down, ground myself and reconnect with who I really am.

Because not everything is as it looks from the outside.

If you create a perception of someone’s life based on what you see, remember that it is your perception, not necessarily their reality.

There is so much beauty in the life I’ve created here, but there is also the unseen: the quiet moments, the hard work and everything that happens behind the scenes.

And perhaps that’s the real magic of Ibiza for me.

🇳🇵 MOVING FOR NEPAL 🇳🇵

Three years ago, I spent three months volunteering with 𝓐𝓬𝓾𝓹𝓾𝓷𝓬𝓽𝓾𝓻𝓮 𝓡𝓮𝓵𝓲𝓮𝓯 𝓟𝓻𝓸𝓳𝓮𝓬𝓽 🇳🇵 an NGO in rural Nepal, providing primary care through acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM), as well as supporting screening for non-communicable diseases.

During that time, I was incredibly lucky to spend some of my time in the Langtang Valley, close to the Tibetan border. I trekked there for a week and experienced a landscape and resilient Sherpa communities that left a lasting impression on me.

The devastating impact of the recent floods across Nepal and Tibet, including in the Langtang region has felt particularly close to my heart.

I’ve always believed in the power of movement to bring people together, and this time I’d love for us to use that movement to give something back.

Join us at The Bubble Club Ibiza on Monday 31st August at 9am for a yoga fundraiser in support of Nepal’s disaster relief and rescue efforts.

100% of donations will go towards the relief and rescue response. Every contribution, however big or small, can make a difference.

If you can’t join us, you can still help by sharing this post, spreading awareness, or donating.

Let’s come together, move together and show some love for Nepal. 🤍🇳🇵

Ever wondered what those moving cups are actually doing?

Gliding cupping is a hands-on technique where cups are gently moved along targeted muscles rather than being left stationary.

It’s commonly used as part of a broader approach and treatment to addressing muscle tension, particularly around areas like the neck, shoulders and back.

You may notice temporary line or circular marks afterward, along with some tenderness. These effects generally fade with time and can vary from person to person.

If you have any questions about acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), electro acupuncture or any treatments I offer send me a DM and I am happy to answer!

Take care,
Suzanne

Steadiness creates freedom.

In Half Moon (Ardha Chandrāsana) and Sugarcane (Chāpasana), we explore the balance between sthira (steadiness) and sukha (ease).

Yoga Sutra 2.46 reminds us: Sthira sukham asanam - the posture is cultivated through steadiness and ease.

Maybe the invitation of our practise isn’t to find perfect balance, but to create a strong enough foundation that we can soften, breathe, and expand from there.

Root down.
Find your center.
Then allow yourself to reach beyond it.

When we feel steady within ourselves, we have more freedom to open.

A full-circle moment ✨

This winter, I’ll be returning to Sampoorna Yoga in India a place that has been such an important part of my yoga journey this time as part of the teaching team.

I first arrived at Sampoorna in December to complete my 200-hour Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training (YTT). That experience exceeded my expectations and gave me the foundations and building blocks to begin my journey as a yoga teacher.

Last winter, I had the privilege of returning for five months as a Karma Yoga apprentice. It was an incredibly enriching experience, allowing me to learn from and work alongside an inspiring team of both Indian and Western teachers, while deepening my understanding of yoga, teaching and community.

I’m now incredibly grateful for the opportunity to return this winter as part of the teaching team, teaching Anatomy and supporting student teaching training, as well as leading vinyasa classes.

To come full circle from student, to apprentice, to now having the opportunity to teach and give back feels incredibly special. I’m so grateful to Sampoorna and to all the teachers who have shared their knowledge and guidance me along the way.

I’m looking forward to another winter in India of learning, teaching, growing and sharing in the beautiful community that first gave me the foundations for my yoga teaching journey.

If anyone is interested in deepening their own yoga practise, knowledge or journey and would like to know more about training in India or at Sampoorna, send me a message and I am happy to share my experience.

Real abundance isn’t in your hands. It’s your state of mind.

Abundance for everything we already have and nothing more.

In yoga philosophy, aparigraha invites us to loosen our grip: on what we have, what we want, what we think should happen, and even on what we fear losing.

Letting go isn’t giving up. It’s trusting that we don’t have to hold everything so tightly to be whole.

Real abundance isn’t always about having more. Sometimes, it’s the freedom that comes from needing less and the quiet peace of allowing life to unfold without grasping.

What if enough isn’t something we find, but something we learn to recognize? 🤍
