Brief Description Of Event:
Live zoom workshop
9.30am to 4.30pm

Course provider: Dr Claire Jack, Academy of the Inner Mind
Course details
Chronic pain is a debilitating condition, which affects at least 25% of the adult population, with older adults and women being at a significantly higher risk for chronic pain conditions. Chronic pain is pain that is long-lasting – for at least a few months or longer – and it’s something that often becomes a condition that people live with for the duration of their lives.
Many chronic pain conditions don’t have a clear explanation, and it can be difficult for people to receive a diagnosis. Often, there are no effective treatment options, other than managing the condition with painkillers. And overuse of painkillers comes with risks, as well as the fact that they become less effective over time, in many cases.
For all of these reasons, there is a significant demand for hypnotherapy and other complementary treatments for chronic pain conditions and the HEAL protocol clearly demonstrates how to work effectively with your clients. Pain rewired: hypnotherapy for chronic pain training is a holistic approach to chronic pain that focuses on the person, not the condition. It includes powerful hypnotherapeutic pain management tools, creating a positive mind:body connection, and helping people make positive lifestyle choices. It also encourages a sense of release of past trauma and experiences that can trigger or exacerbate pain conditions.
For over 15 years, the Academy of the Inner Mind has been a trusted name in hypnotherapy education. Founded and led by Dr. Claire Jack, a seasoned hypnotherapist, accomplished author, and one of Psychology Today’s in-house experts, the Academy blends expertise with a personal commitment to professional growth.

CPD Event title: Hypnosis Through Nature®: Outdoor therapy course
Brief Description Of Event:
Live zoom workshop
9.30am to 4.30pm
Hypnosis Through Nature® takes your work outdoors in a way that is so much more than “outdoor therapy” or “walking and talking therapy”. You will learn to bring in a core hypnotherapeutic skill of utilisation to use meaning, sensations and symbolism of the landscape to transform your practice and transform your clients’ experience. You’ll learn how to work with both individuals and groups. Receive a bonus Therapy Through Nature (TTN®) Certification for situations when you’d prefer to apply a more counselling or coaching approach.
The benefits of outdoor therapy are strongly supported by research. This is one of the fastest growing areas in therapy and the number of people who have experienced outdoor therapy has almost doubled since before the pandemic. Outdoor therapy is strongly supported by evidence that shows being outdoors can impact people at a cellular level, improve immune system function, reduce stress and anxiety levels.
This is so much more than usual “outdoor therapy” or “walking and talking” therapeutic approaches, as it specifically draws on utilisation and provides clear guidelines about how to use your usual hypnotherapeutic skills – including inductions, ego-strengthening and post-hypnotic suggestions – in outdoor settings.
Only students who have undertaken this training can use the trademarked titles Hypnosis Through Nature® and TTN® (Therapy Through Nature) which is essential in marketing your services to both individuals and groups.

About your tutor
Emma qualified in July 2021 with CPHT gaining her HPD and DFSH. She works full time as a hypnotherapist in her own practice in Essex, along with running anxiety workshops. She continues to work with police officers and groups that support them, which has include speaking at police exhibitions and delivering training to the Metropolitan and Wiltshire Police.
Prior to this Emma spent over 10 years in the police as a detective working on domestic abuse, homicide and eventually specialising in sexual offences. These roles also involved being a family liaison officer to victims or their families in the cases of murder. As an officer she also received training around the impact of trauma on officers and victims.
A note from Emma: ‘I was diagnosed with ADHD myself in 2022 at the age of 44. I have since learned a great deal about ADHD, how to manage the symptoms, and make them work for me. The diagnosis along with one of ASD which came at the same time, has actually lead to me being able to truly understand who I am for the first time in my life.
I want to help others with ADHD, and I have a number of clients with ADHD. Educating my colleagues and other therapists about ADHD will spread the support for those living with it, some of whom may in later life only just be learning they have it and this is who they are.’

CPD Event title: AI for Therapists – From Prompts to Profitable Content – Online, self-paced
Brief Description Of Event:
AI for Therapists: From Prompts to Profitable Content is a self-paced professional course for therapists, counsellors, hypnotherapists, and wellbeing practitioners who are curious about using AI but want to do so in a way that still feels ethical, grounded, and aligned with their real work.
Many practitioners are exploring AI but find the results often sound generic, overly sales-focused, or disconnected from how they actually work with clients. This course shows you how to guide AI clearly so it becomes a supportive assistant rather than something that replaces your voice.
Across seven structured modules, you will learn how to clarify your marketing identity, create content that connects without pressure, use email to nurture relationships, build sustainable content rhythms, and understand how consistent communication leads to trust, enquiries, and income.
The focus throughout is on clarity, consistency, and integrity. AI is used as a thinking partner to support reflection and expression, not to replace your professional voice.
The course is delivered through written modules designed for quiet study and reflection. There is no time limit on access, allowing you to move through the material at a pace that fits your workload and energy.
This course is suitable for self-directed CPD. Completion may be logged as up to 7 hours of verifiable Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in line with individual professional requirements. The course is not formally accredited, and CPD recording remains the responsibility of the practitioner.
You do not need to change how you work in order to grow. You need clarity, confidence, and language that reflects the value of what you already do.

07 August, 2026 – Working with Alcohol and Drug Use in Hypnotherapy Practice

CPD Event title: Working with Alcohol and Drug Use in Hypnotherapy Practice
Brief Description Of Event:
A Half-Day Zoom Workshop for Hypnotherapists and Students
Clearer boundaries. Better questions. Safer practice. Date: August 07, 2026. Time: 09:30 – 13.00 BST
Would you know how to respond if a client disclosed that alcohol or drug use had become part of the way they cope, switch off, get through the week, or manage difficult emotions?
Many hypnotherapists will encounter clients where alcohol or drug use is part of the wider presenting picture, yet this is an area many practitioners still feel unsure about when it comes to working confidently and appropriately within the scope of hypnotherapy practice.
This practical and thought-provoking half-day workshop has been created to help hypnotherapists and students feel clearer and more confident when alcohol or drug use shows up in the therapy room.
This is not a workshop about detox, rehab, or working outside your role. Instead, it is designed to help you understand where hypnotherapy can genuinely support change, how to work more effectively with these presentations, and what to look out for when habits, urges, routines, emotional coping, or dependency-related patterns are present.
Drawing from an integrative and solution focused hypnotherapy perspective, this training will explore how to work with the underlying patterns that can keep clients stuck, including repetition, relief-seeking, shame, avoidance, and behavioural loops.
You will also gain a simple and practical understanding of why alcohol and drug use can become so difficult to shift, including the role of habit, reward, learned association, emotional regulation, and the brain’s tendency to repeat what brings short-term relief or escape.
Throughout the workshop, we will stay grounded in clear, realistic, and professional practice, helping you feel more confident in how to approach this area in a way that is useful, thoughtful, and appropriate.
You will also receive a pre-workshop workbook to help you begin thinking about the topic before the day, along with a large post-workshop resource pack filled with step-by-step explanations, tools, techniques, what is useful to say to clients, language patterns, guidance, and useful resources to support your learning afterwards.
Work More Confidently Within Scope
Gain clarity on what is appropriate to work with as a hypnotherapist when alcohol or drug use is involved, and feel more confident in how to approach these conversations and presentations.
Understand the Pattern Beneath the Behaviour
Explore why people can become stuck in cycles of use, including habit loops, reward, relief, emotional coping, and the role of repetition.
Know What to Look For
Learn what to pay attention to during the initial consultation, including patterns, red flags, and the wider picture that may be sitting behind the presenting issue.
Use Solution Focused and Integrative Tools More Effectively
Discover practical ways to structure sessions, ask better questions, and use hypnosis more effectively when working with urges, routines, coping patterns, and behavioural repetition.
Leave With Tools You Can Use Straight Away
Come away with practical ideas, therapeutic language, clinical guidance, techniques, and resources that can support your work in both online and face-to-face practice.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of this workshop, you will have a clearer understanding of:

What is and is not appropriate to work with as a hypnotherapist.
How to recognise red flags and when extra support may be needed.
How to structure the initial consultation when alcohol or drug use is disclosed.
How to use solution focused questioning more effectively in this area.
How to work with urges, routines, coping patterns, and future change using hypnotherapy.
How to use language and therapeutic tools that support change without confrontation or shame.
How to feel more confident and grounded when this kind of presentation appears in practice.

What We’ll Cover
* The difference between habit, coping pattern, harmful use, addiction, and dependency.
* How alcohol and drug use can become linked with relief, avoidance, identity, and repetition.
* The role of the brain, reward, and emotional regulation in repeated use.
* What to notice and explore during the initial consultation.
* Solution focused questions that are genuinely useful in this work.
* Why shame, secrecy, and all-or-nothing thinking can keep clients stuck.
* Hypnotherapy approaches for urges, routines, future self-work, and behavioural change.
* Language patterns and therapeutic phrasing that support change without confrontation.
* Practical ideas to take straight into your client work.
Who Is This Workshop For?
This half-day workshop is suitable for:

Qualified hypnotherapists.
