Ive just finished a 7 day pet sit about 50 minutes from my home.

Its hard to do as I need someone to stay at my home to care for Tia, Mr Fish and the garden.

The hardest thing of all is saying goodbye to the animals when I leave. I was very close to tears last night when I left.
But they have their family home now and I have been accepted as family by 3 new furry friends.

We hired Darren first for an overnight stay and then for a full week to watch our two dogs, Francesca and Draco, and our cat, Monday. We could not be happier!
He took incredible care of our fur babies and left our house spotless. As an animal massage therapist, his extra touch of care and expertise meant our pets weren't just watched—they were completely pampered. Francesca, Draco, and Monday absolutely adore him, which gave us total peace of mind while we were away.

I am currently on a pet sit near Salem with these beauts.
Its a lovely, peaceful location and the animals have accepted me well.

The dogs being pyrenees are guard dogs so are protecting me from any car that drives past, any door closing and any person in ear shot.

They're still settling in to their new home and with their family being away its a bit concerning for them.

The downside was the 5:45 wet nose on my hand to go outside and to have breakfast.

This gave me some cuddle time with the cat. I must bring some cat toys for her when im back in 2 weeks for a weeks stay.

I was surprised whilst in the garden yesterday when a juvenile ladder snake came across the garden straight for me. It made me jump and I scared it, so it veered off to the right.

I had a lovely experience with a little dog named Paco, outside a colombiano cafe in Valencia this afternoon.

I saw him under the table as I passed. A long haired, sandy coloured, medium/small sized dog with a lovely fringe.

I looked at the nicey but pricey goods in the window and turned away.

I looked at the dog and caught the owners eye and asked if it was OK to say hello.

She spoke English and said he wasn't friendly so stayed 1.5m back.

I told her about the rescue and the animal healing and communication work I do and canine massage.
I told her about ear massage and the vegas nerve that can help calm a nervous dog.

As im talking to her the dog is reading me.

She tells me hes a rescue from Ecuador and the litter and his mum were pulled from rubble. His mum couldn't feed him, so he was hand fed and adopted.
Hes not good with people or dogs.

Then his tail starts wagging.
I made some noises that animals seem to take as a greeting and suddenly hes pulling on the lead to come to me and say hi.

He was going crazy for cuddles.
I knelt down and he put his paws on my chest licking my neck while his tails going like a mad thing
His mum said he had never done this with anyone before and he was 6 yesterday.

I wished him a happy birthday in spanish, to more kisses.

His dad came out of the cafe and he ran over to him to greet him.

I continued talking to the mum and saw Paco looking at me. I did my animal noise and he left his dad and came running to me for cuddles again.

In spanish the dad asked his wife. "Does Paco know him" she replied "this is the first time" and he was as surprised as the mum was.

Humans can get fooled by peoples clothes, what they say or what they do.
Animals read your soul and your energy and know people from instict. That's what they're doing if they keep a distance, and they smell you.

That's what Paco did.
They lived 30 mins from Valencia, so I told them about Simat and gave them my card, and said look me up if they ever come that way.
