Our face is so much more than our reflection.
As we move through life, our face carries our heartbreak, grief, shock, joy, laughter, love and sheer survival.
Our face evolves as we do and I think there is something truly beautiful about that.
One of the things I care about most within my anatomy-led, fascia-focused facial work is inviting ease to the tensional holding patterns and subconscious expressions that can become locked into the tissues of the face over time. Not because ageing is in anyway to be avoided, it is not, but because we deserve to feel comfortable and fully at home in our own face.
Our fascial network is also intimately linked to our nervous system, which is one of the reasons fascia-focused massage for the face can feel so powerful. Not only supporting, lifting, plumping and hydrating the tissues themselves at a cellular level but also helping create a sense of softness, ease and regulation within the body.
