As someone who suffered a traumatic event as an infant, I understand the impact it has not only in how you feel about yourself, but also how you behave in life, towards others and your relationships. otionally, physically, mentally and spiritually there is a good chance that you had to become something you were not in order to feel loved, or in an attempt to feel loved and safe. As children we often blame ourselves when our caregivers do not offer us what we need and as a result of this we adapt in negative ways and create beliefs about ourselves that do not serve us. When we grow into adults the child part of us is still looking to have those unfulfilled needs met and often acts out in childish ways, creating challenges in our relationship with ourselves, in our families, with friends, in intimate relationships and in the work place. In my one to one coaching and groups, I help bring awareness to the unresolved hurt and pain that your inner child maybe experiencing, then work with you to help you understand the beliefs and behaviours that are no longer serving you and how you can create new ones that re-integrate your inner child with your adult self. Thus allowing for you to trust yourself, open your heart and create the life you were meant to live. The wounded inner child in us, if not addressed can result in our adult self suffering from lack of confidence, self-esteem, self-love, worthiness, unable to say NO, putting others before self, addictive habits, cycles of toxic relationships, anxiety, depression, minor illnesses and even major ones. Emotional and mental health is not something you can escape from, it is something that only develops in strength and impact if not healed.
