NIGERIA TO START TAXING S*X WORKERS STARTING FROM JANUARY 2026
The Nigerian government has announced plans to legalize s*x work in the country beginning January next year.
Under the new policy, all individuals involved in s*x work will be required to obtain an official license before engaging in the business. Although the government has not yet disclosed the cost of the license, officials say the move is part of efforts to expand the tax base and increase national revenue.
According to the announcement made by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, s*x workers across Nigeria will also be mandated to pay taxes on income earned from their services once the policy takes effect.
The government is expected to release further details in the coming weeks regarding the licensing process and regulatory framework for the industry.
