From Recurrent Throat Pain to Recovery
For nearly a month, a 28-year-old man struggled with repeated throat pain that made even simple swallowing difficult. Along with the pain, he experienced episodes of fever, chills, body aches, and persistent discomfort that continued to interfere with his daily life. Despite previous medical treatment, the symptoms kept returning.
Examination revealed significantly enlarged and repeatedly infected tonsils, a condition known as recurrent hypertrophic tonsillitis. To provide a long-term solution and improve his quality of life, our ENT specialists performed a successful adenotonsillectomy, and the patient is now recovering well.
Adenotonsillectomy is a surgical procedure used to remove enlarged or repeatedly infected tonsils and adenoids. It is commonly recommended for patients who experience frequent throat infections, difficulty breathing during sleep, snoring, swallowing problems, or enlarged tonsils that affect daily activities.
At Washington Healthcare, our ENT team provides comprehensive evaluation and advanced surgical care for conditions involving the ear, nose, and throat, from chronic tonsillitis and sinus problems to hearing and breathing disorders.
