EASTER SESSHIN BEHIND ☀️
In Easter Jesus went through hardships, suffering and death, to be resurrected on Easter day.
We had sesshin on Easter. Here is what was said in Roshi Sama’s teisho:
"This is the original life of the daffodil. That asphalt out in front of the gate is thick and hard. You’d be hard-pressed to break it with a hammer. The daffodil breaks through it with the force of ichi tante, one doing, the force of life. It also comes through with an apology to the asphalt: "sorry, but could you please open a window for me". The sprout pops through and the leaves grow up.
And the daffodil answers to the compassion of the spring breeze by blooming. There is this time, this season of blooming, that is a fact. Be sure of this."

This is how to come through hardships: Trust yourself to the one doing. Open up to compassion, the spring breeze from your true nature. Without expecting, the time of the blooming will come.
