NW500 Clinical Case Images – Congenial Toxoplasmosis

This patient, followed since childhood for congenital toxoplasmosis, presented for their annual ophthalmological assessment. An old, well-defined scar was observed in the upper macular region of the left eye. The lesion, oval and pigmented, showed no evidence of recurrence or inflammatory activity. Follow-up included retinal imaging with the NW500 every 6 to 12 months.

NW500 Clinical Case Images – Epiretinal Membrane

In this case, a semi-transparent membrane was observed over the macula using the NW500, causing the appearance of retinal folds. The images revealed macular thickening associated with distortions of the retinal folds typical of an epiretinal membrane.

How to Capture Colour Fundus Photography using the Triton2

The Triton2’s slit-scan photography captures high-quality fundus images, even through pupils as small as 2 mm, providing a clear and reliable view of the retina and optic nerve, regardless of miosis and lighting conditions.

This short video demonstrates how quick and easy it is to capture a high-quality fundus image with the Triton2 – https://youtu.be/l1nIDR1DqSo?si=wotjkXZWJ_2YttIW

NW500 Clinical Case Images – Active Posterior Uveitis

In this case, the NW500’s advanced illumination technology enabled clear visualisation of the active edges of inflammatory plaques, which are often difficult to detect on clinical examination alone. Its reproducible imaging provides a precise record for monitoring treatment progress and evaluating efficacy.

How to capture a 9x9 mm OCTA Scan using the Triton2

OCTA is a non-invasive imaging technique that visualises blood flow in the retina and choroid by detecting motion contrast from red blood cells. Powered by OCTARA™, a proprietary image processing algorithm, SS OCT Angiography enables detailed visualisation of vascular structures and the monitoring of key retinal pathologies.

The Triton2 can capture OCT Angiography* scans ranging from 3x3mm to 21x21mm.

NW500 Clinical Case Images – Coats Disease

In this case, patient was being followed up for Coats disease, a rare, non-hereditary unilateral retinal vasculopathy. The NW500 revealed macular telangiectasias, along with a crown of hard, circumscribed exudates, a characteristic sign of disease progression.
