I truly believe that one of the best things you can do for your child’s happiness and well-being is choose the right father.

Having a baby is probably one of the biggest tests a relationship can go through. And we all know that many couples don’t make it through that test.

Our daughter is Steve’s 4th child. He was never married before me, but he has 3 older children and he’s never been a “weekend dad” or the kind of father who just sends money and considers his job done, ykwim…He’s one of the most important people in their lives. He doesn’t just provide for them. He loves them and takes care of them. Every single day.

I swear I’ve never seen a father like Steve.
He’s not the dad who is always working, always busy, always somewhere else. He’s different. He cooks for his kids, cleans, does laundry, helps with homework. He scratches their backs before bed, gives them massages and has real heart-to-heart conversations with them.

I saw all of this and it made me want to have a child with this man. And voila! now I see him giving that same love and care to our daughter ❤️

I used to call him the best man. Then I started calling him the best husband too. And now I can add one more thing - he’s also the best father I know 🥹

Girls, If you’re going to have kids, have them with fathers like this.

I can’t say classical music is my favorite, but I do listen to it quite often and, as you’ve probably noticed, I go to concerts a lot.

As a child I was so jealous of kids who went to music school 🫠 I thought they were some kind of superior beings hahaha (no joke)

My husband knows I love the piano. I once told him that if I could go back in time, I would definitely learn to play it as a child.

He asked me “Why don’t you start now?” and I said “It’s too late! I have no musical ear, no talent, no time…” blablabla and a million other excuses 🥲

Recently we were listening to some beautiful music together and I said again that the only thing I regret in life is never learning to play the piano. I said it and forgot about it.

And then, just another ordinary day…

I went to put our daughter down for her nap. She only slept for half an hour. We came out of the bedroom, walked into the living room and BOOOM 💣
I saw THIS 🎹
I was shoooocked!

Steve hugged me and said “It’s never too late to try something new. Your first lesson is the day after tomorrow. The teacher will come to our home.” (Pinch me 🫠)

For me this is not just another gift. It’s SO much more.

It’s my childhood dream that I never had the courage to follow 🥹

I won’t force my daughter, of course, but I hope she’ll want to play the piano too 🙏🏻Maybe soon we’ll even be learning together!

I’m writing this and honestly my hands are still shaking with happiness 🥹

I wanted to write a post about how fu&king exhausted I am from taking care of a little baby, how all the news about wars, politics and the economy is freaking me out, how fu&ked up the environmental situation is, and how apparently we’re all gonna be fu&ked soon because of AI, according to AI developers themselves…

(as if my anxiety wasn’t bad enough already for fu&k’s sake!)

BUT ! judging by Instagram, nobody really gives a s**t about any of this. Everyone seems way more interested in what people are wearing and what skincare products they use while sipping their matcha 🤡
Nice.

Well, at least I do care about this and all of this matters to me!
Even if I don’t show it in my pics, at least I’m telling you how I feel ❤️‍🩹

I asked my husband to stop giving me flowers.

For almost 6 years, he kept insistently giving me flowers several times a week (and I was constantly running out of vases 😂) and sending me bouquets no matter what country I was in.

And for all those years I kept trying to convince him that I don’t really like flowers (except maybe daisies and sunflowers), that love isn’t measured in flowers, that the flower industry is bad for the environment, and that honestly it’s just a waste of money. And I genuinely believe all of that !!!

Basically, I tried every argument I could think of, but he just kept giving me flowers anyway…

So recently I told him that flowers could be bad for our baby and might cause allergies. He got scared and actually stopped giving me flowers… for a WHOLE MONTH 😁

And then one morning I wake up, open the window… and there they are !!! My beloved daisies!!! Right there on my balcony!

I have absolutely no idea when he managed to buy them and put them there without me noticing, but when I saw them I honestly thought I was still dreaming 🫣

And now literally every single time I look out the window I smile coz it’s just so beautiful 🌼🌼🌼

That’s what happens when you marry a creative and loving man 😉

When you choose an artwork instead of another Birkin, is that old age or wisdom?

Even though I love visiting museums and exhibitions, I’ve never really understood art. As people who know art like to say “art should move you, not entertain you”. But I never felt anything like that before. Not a single painting had ever made me want to take it home.

That changed two years ago at Art Basel in Paris.
This piece captivated me.
I took a photo of it and kept looking at it on my phone for months. Then, after returning to Paris from Brazil after giving birth, I decided to find it and take it home.

I can still look at it for a long time.
Every time, it makes me feel something warm and something sad at the same time.
I always imagine there’s a bear hiding somewhere between the trees. I can almost hear birds, even though there aren’t any in it.

This place feels like a life I never had.
Somewhere far away from everyone.
It feels like the view from the window I’ve been looking for my whole life.

It makes me happy.
But it also makes me a little sad.

Because it’s still just an image.
Not the view outside my window.

62 kg 🐽 Still 9 kg above my normal weight.

I gained 9 kg during pregnancy, lost 4 kg right after giving birth and then gained those 4 kg back :(

On top of 11 months of nonstop stress and chronic sleep deprivation with a baby I’m still breastfeeding 🤱🏻
Prolactin makes my body retain water and makes it much harder to lose weight.

Every time I try cutting calories I end up producing muuuch less milk instead of losing weight 🫪

So I’m just waiting until I stop breastfeeding and then I can finally get my body back, lose the extra weight, and do AAALLLL the treatments I’ve been waiting for…

Meanwhile, we escaped the Paris heat at our home in Corsica 🌿
