Hello, I'm Tanya, I am a Vedic meditation teacher. I'm an Australian expat and mum, and I live a busy, vibrant life here in Paris. Over the years I have been meditating I have watched my life completely transform, and now I am thrilled to be able to share this technique with you.
Here is my story ....
On a rainy Saturday in Belleville in 2016 I found my meditation teacher while eating dumplings. Lunching alone, I was reading a post on Instagram, clicked on a tag and six days later had started the 4-day course. After meditating for the first time, I went home and slept through the night. An undeniable reprieve from the insomnia I had been enduring.
I was completely hooked, shocked that a method so simple to learn, practice, and fit into my life could have such a dramatic and immediate effect on my sleep quality and mental health. So I diligently meditated twice a day for twenty minutes. I slept well. I kept meditating twice a day for twenty minutes. My anxiety began to unwind. I meditated on the plane. On the train. At work. In prayer rooms. In churches while on holidays. On the métro between Porte Dauphine and Colonel Fabien (the perfect 22.5 minutes I needed). I excused myself from parties to go and meditate in another room. And when I had to, I meditated sitting on a (closed) toilet because that was the only place I could find. I meditated alone. I meditated with others. I meditated while nursing my child. Sometimes I meditate with her sitting in my lap and I’ve been known to meditate with her climbing all over me.
I trained for over 3000 hours in Europe and India, including a 12-week immersion in the foothills of the Indian Himalayas, with the tradition's preeminent masters and teachers. This is a photo of me at Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's Ashram "Shankaracharya Nagar" in Rishikesh, India.
Now I am excited to bring you Vedic meditation workshops here in Paris. Let me teach you how to rest deeply, release stress, and come back to yourself, so you can thrive.
