I believe in the brotherhood of man created by mutual love and understanding and cooperation. All worthwhile goals and ennobling ideals should be introduced to the world by spiritual example and good methods, not by brute force and war. Political power without spiritual principles is dangerous. By spiritual principles I do not refer to doctrines of specific religions — which may also be divisive — but to dharma or universal principles of righteousness applicable to the well-being of all humanity. To prevent the spread of evil, sometimes righteous war is even necessary. You cannot preach nonviolence and cooperation to a wild tiger, for he will destroy you even before you can expound your philosophy. Some human perpetrators of evil are similarly unresponsive to reason. Any wagers of aggressive war, as was Hi**er, will lose. Those who are compelled to fight a righteous war against evil will win. Whether or not a war is righteous is judged by God.

*सर्वभूतस्थितं यो मां भजत्येकत्वमास्थित: |*
*सर्वथा वर्तमानोऽपि स योगी मयि वर्तते ||*

_sarvabhūtasthitaṁ yo māṁ bhajaty ekatvam āsthitaḥ_ _sarvathā vartamāno ’pi sa yogī mayi vartate_

_*That yogi stays forever in Me, who, anchored in divine unity whatever his mode of existence, realizes Me as pervading all beings.*_

_(Verse 31, Ch.6, Commentary Part-1):_

THE YOGI MUST REALIZE THE COSMIC drama as God’s dream motion picture, projected on the screen of space and man’s consciousness by the infinite cosmic beam of Spirit. Then he can everywhere behold God’s light, no matter what part he plays in this movie of delusive shadows and divine light.

Every one of you, in your heart, has some strong desire. Some want to get married, others want money or job. Some want healing. Some want to fulfil artistic ambitions. Meanwhile, every day, life is creeping forward. What are you doing besides wishing? Are you progressing spiritually or are you merely being swept along toward death? Analyze yourself; analyze your life. Like a child, you cry for so many things that you never will find. Why don't you try crying and yearning for God? Of course, a mere show of devotion won't do; He knows what you are thinking. But if you really cry for Him, the Lord will come to you, sometime, without fail.

_(Verse 30, Ch.6, Commentary Part-3):_

Every man who leaves the earth in an embittered state of unrequited love has to come back here until he finds the perfect love of God. When he recognizes the Lord as the only Perfect Lover, his heart seeks no other affection. After many prodigal wanderings the yogi meets the Cosmic Lover in the bower of eternity. Wherever the yogi turns his attention, he sees his Beloved peeping at him through the windows of stars and flowers, through every opening in the atoms and the pores of the sky. The Cosmic Lover similarly beholds the lostand-found soul of the yogi steadfastly looking at Him.

To the ordinary person, God seems to be absent or vanished from the universe. But the yogi sees the ever-watching Eye of God gazing at him through all windows of space; the face of his Cosmic Beloved is omnipresent.
