I qualified in matwork in London with Anoushka Boone at Pilates in Motion in 2015, then completed my Apparatus qualifications in Cannes with Cristiane Domenici in 2016. Having discovered Pilates myself as a way to eliminate chronic neck pain I am passionate about helping guide people to leading a pain-free and healthy life, as well as working those who wish to simply get back into exercise, get fit or improve their existing sporting performance. Studio Mel, Valbonne on Tuesday 9h15, Wednesday 19h15; Thursday 09h15 (gentle) and 12h30. Please contact me to take a trial class and start straight away! More details on www.livebreathepilates.fr (levels, rates, T&Cs etc)

I am also a qualified naturopathic health coach (CNM, London, 2021) who can help you identify the challenges and blind spots that are preventing you living your healthiest life – together we will figure out which areas of your life are out of balance (sleep, movement, food, rest & restore – a problem with one area inevitably causes problems with another), and empower you to take charge of your health by setting goals, and making often small but effective nutrition and lifestyle changes that will grow over time to transform your health.

More Reformer, more choice this term 😊

I’ve added quite a few new classes to the Studio Mel timetable this term, with General, Intermediate and Intermediate/Advanced options now available across the week from Monday to Thursday.

If you’ve been thinking about trying Reformer, wanting to get back into it after the summer, or simply thinking of adding an extra class to your week, now is a great time to come along.

If you’re feeling very rusty, coming back from an injury or rehab, or would simply like a bit of reassurance before joining a group, a private session can be a really useful starting point — and your first group class afterwards is free.

For anyone wanting to come more regularly:
• Drop-in class: €40
• Intro class for your first class if booked by 30 September: €30
• 10 classes: €350, valid for 4 months
• 20 classes: €600, valid for 6 months

Small groups, lots of individual attention and, as always, plenty of strength, mobility and feel-good movement and fun at Studio Mel!

Message me if you’re not sure which class or level would suit you best, or if you have any other questions – best is always via WhatsApp 😉. Have a great weekend, Mel ###

Love this!!! This incredibly talented lady, Norah, who makes these gorgeous clothes, designed on the Côte d’Azur, sustainably manufactured using recycled fishing nets … I love my Etienne pants and she cleverly shows here (ok with a little help from AI!) how you can wear adapt them to suit your lifestyle… fabuleux! ☺️🙏👏

There are some new classes on the schedule at Studio Mel this term, giving you an even wider choice of General, Intermediate and Intermediate/Advanced Reformer classes.
If you’re interested in trying Reformer Pilates, please do get in touch — even if you have no previous experience.
If you’re completely new to Reformer, or have any particular issues with your lower back, hips, shoulders etc., you might want to consider taking a private class or two first. If you do, your first group class will be complimentary. A private session can make a real difference: giving you a chance to get comfortable with the equipment, and giving me an insight into your individual movement patterns so that I can make sure you’re in the right group ;)
The following classes are on the schedule this term. Classes run with a minimum of 2 people and a maximum of 4.
MONDAY
08h30 — Intermediate/Advanced NEW! 🌼
09h30 — Intermediate
10h30 — General
17h00 — Intermediate
18h00 — General
TUESDAY
10h45 — General NEW! 🌼
12h45 — Intermediate NEW! 🌼
WEDNESDAY
07h45 — Intermediate/Advanced
08h45 — General
12h00 — General NEW! 🌼
THURSDAY
11h15 — General
16h30 — Intermediate
17h30 — General
Please let me know if you have any questions, or if you’d like to book a class but aren’t quite sure which level would suit you best. I’d be delighted to help — and hope to see you at the studio very soon 🌼
Have a great week everyone. Warmest wishes, Mel 🙏😊 ###

Studio Mel is collaborating with Christine Kjeldbjerg this Autumn on her excellent Cleanse & Reboot 21-day programme.

Some of you may remember that I did the programme myself in the spring — and I felt absolutely fabulous for it! I was sleeping better, had noticeably more energy and felt a real sense of clarity, both physically and mentally. It was a great reminder of just how much what we eat can affect how we feel day to day.

So I’ll be doing it again this Autumn too!

The programme officially starts on 21 September, although there’s plenty of flexibility — I’ll actually be starting on the 28th — and you’ll have access to all the materials until the end of October.

Christine is also holding a free online Q&A at 18h on Thursday 10 September if you’d like to find out more before deciding.

And there’s a little Studio Mel bonus...

If we get 8 people signing up through Studio Mel, the programme will be €45 instead of €55.

If you’re interested, message me and I’ll send you the details, or contact Christine directly — and do let me know if you sign up so I can keep track of our little Studio Mel group.

It would be lovely to have a few of us doing it together, encouraging and motivating each other as we cleanse and reboot this Autumn! 🌿 dreboot Christine Kjeldbjerg | Pilates, Barre, Nutrition, Retreats
