🚁 Good Afternoon Everyone 🚁

We are delighted to have once again been asked to support Midlands Air Ambulance Charity at their annual Open Day at Tatenhill Airfield this year (21st June 2026).

On occasions, when attending incidents, we work alongside the Air Ambulance clinicians, usually a doctor and paramedic, as well as emergency ambulance crews. Together, we form one team with the shared goal of providing the very best care and achieving the best possible outcomes for our patients.

This is one of the many reasons we are so passionate about supporting Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. We have seen first-hand the incredible work they carry out every single day and the difference they make to people when they need it most.

This year, we will be providing CPR training throughout the day and running a tombola to help raise funds towards the day-to-day running costs of our group, including defibrillator maintenance, vehicle maintenance, and other essential equipment and resources.

We would like to ask our amazing community for your support. If anyone has any unwanted gifts, vouchers, bottles, or other suitable items that could be used as tombola prizes, we would be incredibly grateful for your donation.

If you can help, please send us a message or speak to a member of the team.

Thank you for your continued support and we hope to see you there! ❤️

Today, on the anniversary of D-Day, we pause to remember the courage, sacrifice, and determination of all those who took part in the Normandy landings on 6 June 1944.

We honour the servicemen and women who crossed the Channel in the face of immense danger, many of whom never returned home. Their bravery helped secure the freedoms and values we enjoy today.

We also remember the families who waited anxiously at home, and all those whose lives were forever changed by war.

As the years pass, our duty remains the same: to remember their sacrifice, to learn from history, and to ensure that the legacy of those who served is never forgotten.

Lest We Forget.

⭐️ National Volunteers’ Week 2026 ⭐️

As we celebrate National Volunteers’ Week, we would like to recognise and thank every volunteer who contributes to the success of our Community First Responder group.

Our Community First Responders dedicate their time, skills, and commitment to supporting the NHS and serving our local communities. Alongside responding to emergencies and providing vital early care, they play an important role in organising and participating in training, ensuring that skills, knowledge, and standards remain at the highest level. Their professionalism, compassion, and willingness to give their time make a real difference to the people we serve.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to our committee members. Working largely behind the scenes, they provide the support that keeps our group running smoothly. From assisting in coordinating activities, fundraising to managing administration etc their efforts help create a strong and sustainable organisation that can continue supporting the community.

National Volunteers’ Week is an opportunity to celebrate the incredible contribution volunteers make across the UK. We are proud of every member of our team and grateful for the dedication, enthusiasm, and countless hours they give in support of others.

Thank you to all our Community First Responders and committee members. Your commitment to supporting the NHS and caring for our communities is truly valued and appreciated.

Happy National Volunteers’ Week.

Some wise words from our colleagues at Uttoxeter Fire Station

Abbots Bromley Fire Station are desperate to be able to more regularly crew their appliance which is often sat there unable to respond.

As a quick litmus test, the past couple of incidents we have attended that required attendance from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue have seen crews from Uttoxeter, Stafford and even Longton attend. Sadly, not Abbot’s Bromley.

Please have a think about whether you can give some time back to your community (and even get paid..!)
