I had a great time at the Yoga Sangha in Pontypool today 🧘‍♀️ The theme was Śauca and we explored practices around caring for and nurturing ourselves, clarity in the mind and body, and trusting your inner voice, amongst other topics.

It was amazing day full of joy. I feel so grateful to have experienced it alongside lovely friends and yogis of British Wheel of Yoga 💙🧘‍♀️

At Sunday's class we explored the idea of Namaste.

Namaste is a Sanskrit word, which means "I bow to you" but it carries a deeper meaning of "The divine light within me honors the divine light within you."

I like to think of it as "The awesome in me recognises the awesome in you" (to paraphrase Yoga with Adriene).

We all have awesomeness within us, no matter who we are or what kind of day we're having. Sometimes it's easier to recognise others' awesomeness and not our own. Take a moment to tune into the awesome within you 😎

In class we explored this theme with poses that tapped into our core muscles to let our awesomeness shine through, as well as relaxing, passive poses to help us embody a sense of humbleness.
