Are you living with Knee pain?
• Are you 45 or over and
• have activity-related joint pain and
• have either no morning joint-related stiffness or morning stiffness that lasts no longer than 30 minutes.
Then OAK may be a great place for you to find out more about your knee pain. Group Clinics run from Glan Cynon surgery every Tuesday, please speak to reception on 01443 473304/01685 883253 to book a space, patients from the following surgeries are also eligible to attend:

Staff Training.
Due to staff training the surgery will be closed on Thursday 16.07.26 from 1pm for clinical and non-clinical staff.
If you need urgent care that cannot wait until the surgery is open please continue to ring the surgery, telephone lines will be transferred to an automated message providing contact details of covering Doctor's team. They will only be able to deal with urgent medical problems. Alternatively you can ring 111 if you need health information and advice or 999 for medical emergencies.
Community pharmacists are also open and offer access into the common ailments service for free advice and medication under the common ailments scheme.

Extreme weather forecast.

Update on Maendy Surgery (usual opening hours)

Due to extreme weather warning Cynon Linc has made the decision to close the building Wednesday and Thursday. This will NOT affect Maendy Surgery. We will be open as usually on Wednesday. Maendy is closed on Thursdays.

If you have an appointment but feel you are unable to attend because of the heat please contact the surgery to rearrange.

New Clinical System

The surgery will be switching to a new clinical system between the dates of 30 April 2026 to 08 May 2026.

We will not be able to access any medical records from 12pm on Thursday 30 April 2026.

We will have a read only version available from 1 May 2026 to 7 May 2026. As a result we will be running a reduced service.
