What would our communities look like if charities and voluntary organisations weren't there?

The newly released film Because We Weren’t There... shines a light on the incredible work being carried out every day by charities, voluntary and community organisations across Merthyr Tydfil. From supporting vulnerable people and tackling loneliness to creating opportunities for young people and improving wellbeing, charities play a vital role in helping communities thrive.

We are proud to be one of the many services featured in this powerful film, alongside organisations that work tirelessly to make a difference across the county borough.

The film highlights not only the impact of the voluntary sector, but also the importance of ensuring charities have the long-term support, funding and recognition needed to continue delivering these essential services.

Thank you to Voluntary Action Merthyr Tydfil, Merthyr Valleys Homes, the Third Sector Leaders' Forum, and everyone involved in bringing these stories to life.

πŸŽ₯ Watch the film and see the difference the voluntary sector makes every day.
