📣 A little polite reminder from a slightly frazzled Best of Welsh Awards team… 😂❤️

Guys… please remember there are actual humans behind these messages. Humans with feelings. Humans who occasionally need food, sleep and possibly a very large glass of something by the end of voting week. 😂

If you don’t understand the voting process, PLEASE ASK US! We are genuinely always happy to help. What we’re not quite as fond of is being insulted, shouted at or receiving aggressive messages because something hasn’t been understood.

For a little perspective… 347 votes have come through in the last TWO HOURS alone 😳👏 so the form is definitely working and hundreds of people are managing to navigate it successfully. But if you’re stuck — ASK. We don’t bite. Well… not before 9pm anyway. 😂

And while we’re here… can we address another little pickle? 🥒

Every year we hear:

“I didn’t even know I’d been nominated!”

So this year we’ve tried EVERYTHING to make sure businesses know. Emails. Texts. Facebook tags. Facebook Messenger. We’re approximately three steps away from hiring a carrier pigeon. 🐦

And now apparently… we’re spamming people. 😂😭

WE CANNOT WIN.

So, genuinely, if you don’t want to receive updates, reminders or ticket offers from us, that is absolutely fine. Just reply politely and ask to be removed from our contact list. No drama, no hard feelings, we’ll simply remove you. ❤️

BUT… please don’t be mad at us afterwards if you miss an email telling you that you’re a finalist, an important awards update or a special ticket offer. We can’t simultaneously contact you and not contact you. Even our organisational powers don’t stretch that far. 😂

We put an enormous amount of work into these awards and we genuinely want businesses across Wales to feel recognised, celebrated and supported.

So please — be kind when you message us. If something doesn’t make sense, ask. If you’re confused, ask. If you think something has gone wrong, ask.

We’ll happily explain it.

Just maybe don’t verbally batter us first. 😂❤️
