🌿Daytime Online Therapy/Counselling Sessions 🌿
I currently have space for new clients during the day on week days.
If you’ve been thinking about starting therapy — or returning to it — this might be the gentle nudge you’ve been waiting for. 💛
I currently have daytime openings for online sessions, perfect for those who:
✨ Work from home and can take a midday break
✨ Prefer a late morning session (from 10am) before the day gets busy
✨ Are stay-at-home parents or caregivers
✨ Simply find daytime therapy more grounding and flexible
Online therapy offers the same depth and connection as in-person work — just from the comfort and privacy of your own space. 🌼
If you’ve been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or ready for change, this is a great time to reach out.
You can message me here or visit my website (lkccounselling.co.uk) to learn more and book a session.
I offer a free 30 minute chat to find out if we both feel we would be a good fit for working together.
I charge £70/€85 per therapeutic hour (50minutes), and can offer flexibility around how often sessions take place. I recommend starting weekly, but after a mutual discussion, this can be reduced to fortnightly, or monthly.
I also offer 2 reduced cost spaces, however, this fill very quickly. This would be 12 sessions at a rate that we agree together based on what feels affordable for you. There would then be the option to continue but at my full rate, but no obligation.

Your time, your pace, your space. 🕊️

🌈 June is Pride Month — a time for celebration, visibility, community, and reflection.
For many LGBTQIA+ people, Pride can hold joy, connection, grief, resilience, healing, and everything in between. Every experience is valid.
As a counsellor working with many Q***r clients, I’m committed to creating a space where you don’t have to explain your identity before being understood — where your experiences, relationships, questions, and challenges are met with respect and care.

This month and every month:
✨ Your identity deserves affirmation
✨ Your story deserves space
✨ Your wellbeing matters

Happy Pride Month to everyone celebrating, questioning, surviving, thriving, and simply being YOU!!

Always great to get feedback after ending with a client!💜💜💜
I work with trans individuals at any stage of their transition - from questioning to coming out to living their normal life in their authentic gender. My work with trans people is similar to how I work with any client; with acceptance and respect. However, it is an area of therapy that I have had a great deal of experience, as well as backing it up with a lot of extra courses/reading. I offer a space where together we can make sense of how you are feeling, and can explore all aspects of your identity and how you view yourself.
I send an anonymous feedback form to all ending clients, and it is their choice if I can use their feedback on my social media.

Always great to get feedback after ending with a client!💜💜💜
One way that I am different from many counsellors/therapists is that I will share bits about myself if I feel it is relevant. I definitely don't make the session about me, but if I feel it will benefit you, I will share bits about myself. For example, I am happy to disclose that I am ADHD and live with BPD, especially if that aligns with what the client is talking about. Sometimes clients then feel less alone, or that I 'get it' from a personal level, rather than just from training or a book. I am also happy for you to ask me questions - if I feel it is appropriate, I will definitely answer honestly. At the end of the day, I am human too!

I send an anonymous feedback form to all ending clients, and it is their choice if I can use their feedback on my social media.

Especially sharing some of your personal experiences has really helped me to understand my own and the people around me better and I'm very grateful for that :) .' I know I have been quiet for a while on here! It has been quite full on with therapy clients, supervisees and training.
I do have a couple of spaces free at the moment for during the day sessions - please get in touch if you feel I can help you.
I am also now working with Violet Psychology based in Dublin. Please see the link below with my profile and euro rate. I am so happy to find an organisation who's values align so well with my own!
Exciting things are happening, but like I tell all of my clients, it is important to prioritise you. I am definitely focusing on self care and making sure I don't take too much on!

Laura Hall (She/her) I qualified as a person centred counsellor and psychotherapist in 2022, and have since continued studying on different areas that are of benefit to my personal growth and to support the clients I work with. I am qualified to work with children and young people, as well as people...

What a month January has been so far!
I am currently at full capacity, and won't be able to take on any new clients at the moment. It has been a difficult one to work out how many people I can help at once, as well as looking after my own self care and needs. This is especially hard as I have had many new enquiries so far this month. But, as I say often in sessions, self care and boundaries are so important.

I will be starting a waiting list if you do want to reach out, but I am unsure as to when I will be in a position to take new people on. Alternatively, I can recommend colleagues that do have available space at the moment.

What an amazing day! I flew down to London for The Contained Clinician 's New Year social. Brilliant to get away from the Aberdeenshire snow for a few days!
Amazing to meet Aisha in person after being managed by her for almost a year, and also meeting 21 other like minded therapists. Feeling very proud of the work that therapists do on a daily basis and excited for the future of my business. Here's to 2026! 🥂🍾

Saw this on a friends page - what are your ways of practicing self care and looking after yourself??
💜🩵💜🩵💜🩵💜🩵💜🩵💜

We’re heading into the darkest days of winter - it’s important to self care, even if that’s just getting one thing done in a day.

DEPRESSION TIPS:
Shower. Not a bath, a shower.
Use water as hot or cold as you like. You don’t even need to wash. Just get in under the water and let it run over you for a while. Sit on the floor if you gotta.

Moisturize everything.
Use whatever lotion you like.
Unscented? Cheap lotion? Fancy 48 hour lotion that makes you smell like a field of wildflowers? Use whatever you want, and use it all over your entire dermis.

Put on clean, comfortable clothes.
Put on your favorite underwear.
Those ridiculous boxers you bought last christmas with candy cane hearts on the butt? Put them on.

Drink cold water.
Use ice. If you want, add some mint or lemon for an extra boost.

Clean something.
Doesn’t have to be anything big. Organize one drawer of a desk. Wash five dirty dishes. Do a load of laundry. Scrub the bathroom sink.

Blast music.
Listen to something upbeat and dancey and loud, something that’s got lots of energy. Sing to it, dance to it, even if you suck at both.

Make food.
Don’t just grab a granola bar to munch. Take the time and make food. Even if it’s ramen. Add something special to it, like a soft boiled egg or some veggies. Prepare food, it tastes way better, and you’ll feel like you accomplished something.

Make something.
Write a short story or a poem, draw a picture, color a picture, fold origami, crochet or knit, sculpt something out of clay, anything artistic. Even if you don’t think you’re good at it. Create.

Go outside.
Take a walk. Bundle up if you have too. Listen to whatever birds there are, watch the squirrels, admire whatever lights are in the trees. Go to the letterbox, send a letter, a bill, a card.

Call someone.
Call a loved one, a friend, a family member, call a chat service if you have no one else to call. Talk to a stranger on the street. Have a conversation and listen to someone’s voice. If you can’t bring yourself to call, text or email or whatever, just have some social interaction with another person. Even if you don’t say much, listen to them. It helps.

Cuddle your pets if you have them/can cuddle them.
Take pictures of them. Talk to them. Tell them how you feel, about your favorite movie, a new game coming out, anything.

May seem small or silly to some, but this list keeps people alive.

*** At your absolute best you won’t be good enough for the wrong people. But at your worst, you’ll still be worth it to the right ones. Remember that. Keep holding on.
*** In case nobody has told you today - I love you and you are worth your weight and then some in gold, so be kind to yourself and most of all keep pushing on!!!

Find something to be grateful for!

As we are all starting to emerge from the festive season, I like to think of the hope for the year to come for myself, but also the people I come into contact with both personally and professionally.

For me, this year doesn’t need another resolution—it needs ongoing intention. It needs manageable, evolving goals that feel like you are bettering yourself and your life.

If you want better focus, healthier relationships, or more emotional balance, talking it through can help.

Support is a tool, not a crutch. Reaching out shows strength. You have the ability to take control of how you feel, and understand yourself better for stronger resilience to whatever life throws at you.

If last year drained you—mentally, emotionally, or relationally—this is your moment to reset.

Make this the year you stop carrying everything on your own.

Book your free initial chat now. Your future self will thank you.

The festive season can be joyful, but it can also feel overwhelming or lonely for many. 💛 As we are in that tricky time in between Christmas and New Year, let’s normalise rest, boundaries, and prioritising mental health. 🌿

Please remember: you don’t have to carry everything alone. Be gentle with yourself and reach out for support if things feel heavy.

If you’re ready for support, I currently have space for new clients for therapy.
Please send a message to arrange a free chat to see if we would be a good fit.
