They’re back at work… but are they actually ready to be? šŸ‘€

Returning after a period of sickness absence doesn’t always mean an employee is ready to jump straight back into their full role, responsibilities and contractual hours.

That’s where an Occupational Health Return to Work Assessment can help.

We can provide an independent assessment of an employee’s fitness to return to work and advise employers on temporary adjustments or restrictions that may support a safe, sustainable and successful return.

This could include considerations around:
✨ Working hours or a phased return
✨ Duties and workload
✨ Temporary workplace adjustments
✨ Restrictions or additional support
✨ Ongoing fitness for work

Whether an employee is preparing to return or has been absent on long-term sick leave, getting the right Occupational Health advice can help both the employee and the employer move forward with confidence.

What an amazing day celebrating the opening of health and aesthetics ✨
Such a lovely afternoon bringing together so many people with a shared passion for health, wellbeing and aesthetics, and celebrating the start of what feels like a really exciting new chapter.
I’m incredibly proud of everything Lorne has achieved in bringing Glow to life. It’s been so amazing working alongside him — we really do make a brilliant team, I’m excited to see where this next chapter takes us. šŸ¤
For me personally, it also feels like the beginning of another exciting period of growth and change for ā¤ļø What started as an idea has continued to grow and evolve, and there are lots of exciting plans ahead as I develop the business further, expand the services I can offer and continue building new working relationships and collaborations.
Being part of Glow gives me the opportunity to bring Occupational Health, wider health and wellbeing, and preventative healthcare together in a really positive environment, and I’m genuinely excited about what the future holds.
A huge thank you to for her fantastic talk on longevity, health and wellbeing. It was so interesting and really reflected the ethos behind what we’re trying to create — bringing different areas of health and wellbeing together and looking at the bigger picture.
And we definitely missed .samanthabrown_aesthetics who unfortunately couldn’t make it on the day
It was also brilliant to meet so many new people, make new connections and hear about the work others are doing within health and wellbeing.
And a very special thank you to everyone who has helped and supported me on my own journey so far. There are people who have encouraged me, helped me, believed in what I’m doing and supported the business along the way — you know who you are, and I’m incredibly grateful. šŸ¤
Thank you to everyone who came along and supported our opening event. šŸ„‚āœØ
Here’s to Glow, growth, new opportunities, exciting collaborations and lots of positive change ahead. šŸ¤āœØ
And note to self for the next event… TAKE MORE PHOTOS!

An employee has been off sick… now what?

When someone has been absent from work due to ill health, knowing the right next step isn’t always straightforward.

An Occupational Health referral can help you understand how an employee’s health may be affecting their ability to work, while providing impartial, professional advice to help you move forward with confidence.

It can help identify whether workplace adjustments could support a safe and sustainable return, provide guidance around ongoing absence, and give managers the information they need to make informed and appropriate decisions.

It’s about supporting your employee while ensuring you have the professional guidance needed to manage the situation effectively.

What actually happens during an Occupational Health assessment?

For many employees, being referred to Occupational Health can sound a little daunting but the purpose is to provide professional, impartial support for both the employee and employer.

An assessment can help to understand how someone’s health may be affecting them at work, identify appropriate support or adjustments, and provide clear recommendations for moving forward.

It’s about looking at the relationship between health and work and helping create a workplace that is safe, supportive and sustainable.

At OccuHealth, we make the process clear, professional and approachable from the very beginning.
