🌞🌑 Solar Eclipse. Protect Your Eyes! 🌑🌞

Today, Wednesday 12th August, a partial solar eclipse will be visible across the UK. It’s an exciting event to watch, but looking directly at the Sun can cause serious and permanent damage to your eyes. 👁️⚠️

👓 Keep your eyes safe:

❌ Never look directly at the Sun with the naked eye, even when most of the Sun is covered.

❌ Regular sunglasses are NOT safe for viewing an eclipse.

❌ Don’t look at the Sun through binoculars, telescopes or cameras unless they have a proper solar filter designed for this purpose.

✅ If you’re using eclipse glasses/viewers, make sure they are specifically designed for solar viewing and meet the appropriate safety standard

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Keep children supervised and make sure they understand not to look directly at the Sun.

A few seconds of looking at the Sun can cause lasting damage, don’t risk your eyesight for a photo! 📸👀

Enjoy the eclipse, but protect your eyes first! ❤️

Therefore, the pharmacy will be closed on this day.

Please make sure you order your medicines in plenty of time and collect any prescriptions due on this date beforehand.

Any medicines due for collection on 15/06/26 should be picked up on Saturday 13/06 from 9am–1pm.
