Beloved husband of Margaret, cherished dad to Steven and Leisha, father-in-law to Alan, dear son of the late George and Mary, adored gaga, great gaga, brother, uncle, cousin and respected friend. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James (Jim) Garvie Stuart. James passed away peacefully at ARI after a long illness bravely fought, on Sunday 14th June 2026, aged 70 years. Dearly loved son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, James will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.
James spent his career working in insurance and risk management, an industry he enjoyed being part of. He was known for his kindness, warmth and generosity and leaves behind many happy memories that will be treasured by those who knew him.
A service to celebrate James’s life will be held on Friday 3rd July 2026 at Aberdeen Crematorium (East Chapel) at 11:30 am, to which all family and friends are respectfully invited. Family flowers only please.

Peacefully at home on Saturday 2nd May 2026, Pearl aged 83 years. Beloved wife of Ally, a devoted and much-loved mother to Stuart and Tracey, and a cherished mother-in-law to Selina, Pearl’s greatest joy was her family. She was a proud and loving nana to Ben, Grant, and ‘Pebble’, who will carry her warmth and kindness with them always, known to many as the friendly and familiar lollipop lady on Lewis Road, Pearl was a reassuring presence to thousands over the years, with her steady care, bright smile, and watchful eye on the generations of children to cross safely, leaving a lasting impression on her community. A celebration of Pearl’s life to be held at Hazelhead Crematorium West Chapel on Wednesday 20th May 2026, at 11.15am, followed by a committal at Hazelhead Cemetery to which all family and friends are respectfully invited. Please wear a splash of colour (no green, and no black ties). Family flowers only but donations can be given if so desired in aid of Dementia UK or Cancer Research UK at the chapel exit. Pearl will be remembered for her gentle nature, her unwavering love, and the quiet strength she brought to all who knew her. She is deeply missed and forever treasured. Always in our hearts.
